No LaHug's Captains this week. UNLESS...

My sincerest apologies to everyone but I will not be able to write my weekly thread this week. A combination of circumstances (namely being sick, having 4 assignments due on Friday and a basketball final on Thursday night).

I have an idea though!
If people can do their own research (all stats can be found in the player search and most matchups/information can be found in the games archive) on a player or two of their choice, then post it here for all to see, then we'll have a group effort of LaHug's Captains. Please help out!

An example of how it can be written:

Pendlebury
Last 3: 124, 123, 107 (118 avg)
Last 3 against Essendon: 166, 134, 97 (132 avg)
Last 3 at MCG: 123, 107, 105 (112 avg)

Going for his 10th straight ton, Pendlebury is always a safe option you can rely on. Add to the fact that he scored 166 against Essendon this year, 134 against them last year and loves the MCG, you know he's going to explode. One talking point is that Hocking isn't playing this week meaning someone else would have to tag Pendlebury. Odds are that should be a positive thing but there is always a slight risk with a new match up. Expect big things from this lover of big games against one of Collingwood's biggest rivals. Prediction - 140

OBVIOUSLY, this example is from a previous week. I am well aware that Collingwood is not playing Essendon this week.

I don't know whether this is any help but I kept it simple last week. Sam Mitchell is in hot form and he was playing Port Adelaide so that made me a great score as captain.

Dane Swan is currently in hot form and he is playing Brisbane.

Matthew Boyd is playing Port Adelaide and considering that they can't be stuffed trying then surely Boyd will score well this week.

Chelskiman

Not cool, Huggy.  You of all people should know that DT comes before everything else. :P

You can get ground averages by going to their fan footy profile and searching for stats by ground (top of the screen under the player's name). I added them above.

I'm with you on that, but everyone will be doing that so picking a smoky that might out score him could be a final winner!

Yeah, looking at those numbers, it'd have to be Swan (C), Pendles (VC).

THANKS HEAPS, HTL!!! Really great work!

jvalles

Abletts numbers are are out due to the injury forced 23.  He has smoked it this year at Metricon.
