Finished 1st & 3rd respectively in my 2 cash leagues and lost both games on the weekend.. Some of my regular let downs let me down when I needed them the most and now I need to regroup and try to get through this week..
What line do you guys believe needs upgrading, my current side for this week is;

Backs: Goddard, Fisher, Gibbs, Deledio, Broughton, Puopolo, Talia (Enright, Jacobs, Howard)
Centres: Ablett, Pendlebury, Swan, Judd, A Swallow, Mzungu (Selwood, Chapman, Burgoyne)
Rucks: Cox, Jamar (Tippett, Derikxz)
Forwards: Pavlich, Fyfe, Franklin, Petrie, Sylvia, Riewoldt, Didak (Varcoe, Lobbe, Callinan)

Have 1 trade left & $122k in the bank..

My idea this week was to trade Varcoe for T Cloke and move Fyfe into the middle to replace Mzungu..

I dont want to start Burgoyne this week, he could score 40 points against the blues and Mzungu could spud it up as well..
I have considered upgrading Jacobs to Birchall/Suckling but these guys will not score much more than my current rookie stocks in the backline..

Am thinking to off load Burgoyne for the best available prem or Varcoe for the best available prem in the forward line..

Would really appreciate some advice from all you seasoned campaigners, what would you guys do in my situation?

Bumping this topic again, have also been thinking on bringing in a mpp in rok or boomer as well, I am at wits end on what to do, need some fresh ideas, HELP!

I think you need to trade. All or nothing. I worry about fwd line with Didak, Sylvia and Riewoldt (J or N). Maybe Varcoe to Rioli.

charliesheen

Didak could hurt you more than Burgoyne.

Could you post your opponents team?

Nick Riewoldt..
I'm concerned about Rioli's record against the blues, Aaron Joseph has done a good job on him in the last couple of encounters..
Rioli will dominate against the dogs and suns though, but I need to get past this week  :-\

Forget about Rioli's 17 vs Blues last year.

He is a different player now and is in red hot form and this being your very last trade you'll need to hedge your your bets a bit and spread your pick up over all 3 weeks.

Surely Didak should dominate against the lions, they can't make him the sub for a 3rd week in a row surely..
When he come on the last 2 games, he had that zip about him, the give and go handballs, just have a hunch about him this week..
My opponent's team league 1 is;
D: Gibbs, Goddard, Deledio, Fisher, Broughton, Lower, Puopolo (Enright, Retzlaff, Watson)
C: Judd, Dal Santo, Swan, Boyd, Ablett, Didak (Bartel, Jacobs, Irons)
R: Cox, Ryder (McCauley, J Tippett)
F: Pavlich, Fyfe, Goodes, Franklin, Petrie, N Riewoldt, I Smith (Dalhaus, T Lynch, Chapman)

I've bold the players we have different.. He has no trades as well..

My opponent's team in league 2 is;
D: Gibbs, Goddard, Deledio, Fisher, Johncock, Grundy, Puopolo (Newman, Enright, Talia)
C: Priddis, Boyd, Ablett, Goodes, Embley, Prestia (Bartel, Jacobs, Evans)
R: Cox, McEvoy (Vardy, McCauley)
F: Pavlich, Fyfe, ROK, R Murphy, N Riewoldt, Mzungu (I Smith, Richardson, Callinan)

I've bold the players we have different.. I don't think this guy has trades as well, and I am reasonably confident I can beat this team, especially with no Pies in his team..

Now where can I get an advantage on both teams? I will put Pendles captain as neither team has him.

I do agree, I am a hawk fan, I don't want to go with my heart with this one.. Neither team has him as well, so he is a POD..
I would love for him to come in and go BANG..

His SC score > stats which is why SC > DT.

His touches influence a game, especially a tight one like Friday night could be.

Also, he killed me last week so I wish I had him.

Boomer Harvey also has a pretty good run home, Freo, Saints & Tigers... All at Etihad..
Another thing im concerned about is if I do get through this week there is a chance that Rioli could be rested in either rnd 23 or 24 with his troublesome hammy.. With Boomer you know he will be there for the remaining rounds, 1 because they are a slim finals chance and 2 because he is the skipper..
Boomer can also rack up numbers..

If Varcoe did turn into Rioli or Boomer, who would you have on the ground, Mzungu or Jamar?
Mzungu should be good for 70 - 90 points, Jamar could actually get back into some form against Richmonds depleted ruck stocks.. Is he really carrying a niggle or is he just struggling for match fitness with the time off he had? The reason I brought him in was for the SC finals, now I am having 2nd thoughts..

charliesheen

Personally I would start Mzungu in either the mids/fwds this week.  At worst you break even with your opponent.

In terms of trades, I think its going to come down to which rookie or under performing premium you have least confidence going forwards.

The advantage with the Cloke trade, lets say Jamar never comes good.  If you make it pass this round, at least you can push petrie in the rucks, and start chappy to cover him.

tor01doc

Mr Sheen. A lot of us are allergic to Cloke.
