In a dellema.....I would be kicking myself if i benched him and then lost

Wacky Tiger

Im thinking of sticking him on the pine.  Manily because i reckon who i could get in would only be equal to what i already got on the bench so might aswell keep him in hope of pushing through

I'm tossing up whether to trade him and keep Judd, or keep Judd and trade Gibbs :-\

Hahaha ^^^ Maybe a rewording needed. >> Trade Judd n keep him.

Having all premium defenders already, you would be downgrading to someone else just to have Judd and Gibbs play the week after

I think if you have the trades, what you can do is just buy temporary mid-priced placeholders for just 1 round to cover them based on the draw.  For example, you could get someone like Dangerfield just for against Gold Coast.

Another example, is getting someone like Jason Gram, who has BAC/CTR, who could also be good coverage.

If you ahve the luxury of LOTS of trades, you could always extend your bench with premium coverage rather than sideways trading.

PICCOLLO

Ranked in order of preference:

-get in another premo as cover and keep him
-trade for another premo
-bench and roll with a lower type and hold on for the ride

As a defender, the scores are of less importance than mids etc.(cos backs avg less as a rule) but you should be aiming to get at least 80 from his replacement.

Given its a prelim and if you lose you're out, you shouldn't be skimping on trades if you can help it.

Ive got the same problem but have MMurphy instead of Judderluggs.
Im not sure what to do either and reckon similar threads to this will be popular postings next week.
Gibbs is killing the pig at the moment...Im thinking it would be easier to replace Judds scoring potential in the guts than Gibbs in the backline if you were only going to trade 1 of the players (Judd / MMurphy ----> JSelwood, Mitchell, Dal Santo, Thompson etc)
Ive got cover for Gibbs in the way of Pops / Lower / Stanley...not that great
Im leaning towards Gibbs ---> Enright (Pies will be kicking it down his end a fair bit Rd 24) or Hurn (plays Crows @ PS rd 24) , MMurphy---> Mitchell (Plays Suns Rd 24)
Those 2 trades will leave me with over 100k and 1 trade to use for the GF... I expect Pendles or Cox to be rested rd 24...maybe even both (their 2nd byes by then would have been 10 weeks beforehand)
Hmmmm...maybe I should trade MMurphy this week...it would be really crap to have a premium rested on top of the 2 Blues players byes

Most potential opposition has him or Scotland so i'll be trying to just get better cover than them and hold him.
Have you looked at your most likely opposition yet.

Haha whoops, will fix that now naste ;)

similar dilemma here too. Have both Judd and Gibbs. And my opponent has no Carlton players  :'(  I have Fyfe in as an extra premium who can cover Judd (and covered Petrie) and still have Heppell who can cover Gibbs and is Vs Port that round. But still its not as good as having Judd and Gibbs...

I have 3 trades left (bye this round). I'll wait and see if I need to injury trade first. But it will be a hard choice wether to do it or sideways trade other underperforming premiums I have (e.g. Jamar or Broughton).

I have both Judd and Gibbs as well.
Have Stanley to cover Gibbs (and Enright this week).
Mzungu/I.Smith/Sylvia to cover Judd. Don't mind that at all.

Slammer

Similiar to my thread that I was going to post.

Have 4 trades $146K . Won final and have bye this week.
Have both Judd and Gibbs.

Do I burn a trade on Lower and get Enright this week? (cover for Gibbs next week).
Then go Judd to dal Santo next week so will be able to make another trade if needed for a rested Cox or Pendles?
Leaves me one or two trades for GF if I win.
Or do I just hold the 4 trades and wait until next week?

B: Gibbs, Lids, Goddard, fisher, Suckling, Murphy, heppell (lower, Jacobs, Howard)
M: Ablett, Swan, pendles, Hodge, Judd, Cross ( Bewick, Krak, Buckley)
R: Cox, Sandi (Lobbe, Tippett)
F: Buddy, N.Roo, Fyfe, Rok, Pav, Goodes, Mzungu (J.Roo, Siposs, Talia)

Holz

im getting rid of biggs/scotland for suckling

should tear it up the week after against GC

You realise that in both these scenarios you are trading Gibbs and keeping Judd right? :P
