- weak backline with no Goddard, Duffield, Drummond(1 in SC top 20 Enright at No.13)
- weak rucks with no cox, Sandi, Jolly or HMac

mate sometimes you cant afford great players in your team, and you make your team at the start of the year. So you are literally making your team without knowing the form of each player, but you have to trust that they will do as well as the year before.
Young rookies have absolutely no form to look at at the start of the year, so as you stroll through the season you buy good players that you can afford
The players that i have are in good form and i am 3rd on a ladder of 16 players with everyone taking the comp seriously.
My players ARE NOT guns but they are serviceable.

There is past form on rookies, It's called the NAB cup. And the TAC cup. There are about 8 people in our league taking it seriously.
Yes, you are 3rd but your average is only 1774. Nobody is even averaging over 1900 other than me.

Jess, let me tell you something. When rookies move into the afl from the TAC cup and them, you would think that they would have some pressure on them. So you cant really tell their form.

Yeah they may have a bit of pressure but you still should take the slight risk that they will crumble and use all the extra money on improving your side in big ways. Instead of B.Lake, J.Gram, M.Clarke, A.McLeod, A.McPhee, D.Fletcher... It could be Newman, Fisher, Hodge, Lockyer, Ellis and GODdard.
