Decided to make my last two trades this week as i have an elimination final and don't want to leave trades on the table if i lose. Have the cash to upgrade to just about anyone, thinking Brad Green would be the best player to upgrade. Leaning towards Stevie J for his big score this week and then i'll run with Petrie as backup for him in week 2..

Options are:

A) Stevie J
B) Leon Davis
C) Cyril Rioli
D) O'Keefe

E) Hurn> Any backman??

How much cash is in the bank?  Are you in the top 4 of your league?  How strong is your oppositions team, can you post it here?

If you can hold onto those 2 trades, you should really do it.  I would only trade in better players if you are going to get knocked out easily.

I would recommend starting I. Smith or Mzungu in place of Brad Green/Sylvia.  Both have the potential for 90+ scores.  If it is a blow out against Port Adelaide expect Smith to do well.

If your worried about Hurn, simply start Heppel who should be good for another decent score.

I've already downgraded Hibberd to free up 220k cash and i'm not in the top 4 of my league. My issue is that the bloke i am vsing has the 2nd best team in the league judging by points scored on the season and pumped out some seriously high scores in the rounds leading up to the finals..

So my options at this point are to keep the one trade left or use it to ensure a win, sounds stupid i know but it would kill me if i were to bomb out with trades left.. :P

post his team...  then we can work out what the best options are.

AJ2k8

Backs: Gibbs, Goddard, Lids, Broughton, Enright, Heppell, Stanley, Thompson, Hibberd, Delaney

Mids: Pendles, Judd, Priddis, Swan, Redden, Chapman, Mzungu, (Isaac) Smith, Bewick

Rucks: Cox, Sandi, Clarke, Bailey

Fwds: Pav, Fyfe, Goodes, Harvey, ROK, Buddy, Nroo, Jroo, Darling, Lynch

So obviously Harvey will be traded or subbed out but apart from that business as usual. I look at his team and i'm not sure where he would beat me but it is worth $13,235,000 and has put up some decent scores of late. Thanks in part to Judd and Goodes i'm thinking.

Would this work for you
Hurn to Scotland (would cover Gibbs)
Green to Rioli

Already made my first move to free up that cash so only one move left to make..

Trading hurn is silly because all you need to do is start Heppel.  This will mean you break even because he is starting Heppel himself.

Personally I think you have this won, and can avoid trading, if you pick a solid captain, and start the right rookies.

Heppel, Mzungu, I. Smith.  Just make sure you take out the weakest link from your team, whether that be sylvia/brad green/nroo or BOTH.

If you really must trade, then RIoli is a solid option, especially IF you think its going to be a huge blow out.  Whether it will equate to significantly more points than I. Smith I don't knwo

Montagna > Selwood will also nail the win in the coffin assuming he goes big against adelaide.
