Geelong playing Adelaide, i say 200 points for his 200th game. Jimmy you are a superstar and my captain this week!

historically jimmy plays well v crows.

however i think his captaincy days are behind him... he has thrown in some shockers this year!

cortez

He's still only 26 or 27. Is in his prime. Just the position he's been playing. I think people forget how good he is. Will be a bargain next year i reckon

Fenno

Im not going to back him in as Captain but I expect a good score from him this week if I didn't think I had a chance of winning I may do it though.

JBs-Hawks

very brave man to back him in as captain after  his season so far

CFC 1979

watch out for the general

Grazz

Although Adelaide is his favourite side to score against i think you would be taking a massive risk with the new role
Jimmy has been playing his scores have been affected somewhat.

Cruiseon

Stevie J or Selwwod maybe but I think Jimmy is not quite Captain material atm.

henry

If you take out his 2 when he was injured, he averages over 100. With an average of 110 over the last 5 rounds (and 4 hundreds) and playing a poor opposition at home, you could do a lot worse then pick him as captain. Interesting choice, I hope it works out for you (as I have him too :))

Holz

As much as i like jimmy cant even think of having him as captain when i have swan in my team. He will probably score well but no more than swan.

+1 with the same going for Selwood and Mitchell (and possibly Pendles too)

u know Swan doesnt play that great against the Saints? Now i have said that im sure to be screwed over. Ive gone Ablett against the Lions and if he pulls out then Selwood will do the job. No pies for me this week!!!!!!!

Apologies for how late this is. I've been very busy this week. Feel free to make requests but I can't guarantee that I'll get to them quickly.

The facts:

Pendlebury
Last 3: 120, 141, 124 (128 avg)
Last 3 against St. Kilda: 129, 141, 119 (130 avg)
Last 3 at Etihad: 103, 141, 121 (122 avg)

Swan
Last 3: 155, 171, 118 (148 avg)
Last 3 against St. Kilda: 83, 141, 138 (121 avg)
Last 3 at Etihad: 94, 162, 137 (131 avg)

Mitchell
Last 3: 129, 100, 113 (114 avg)
Last 3 against Port: 110, 79, 59 (83 avg)
Last 3 at MCG: 113, 137, 128 (126 avg)

Joel Selwood
Last 3: 135, 178, 108 (140 avg)
Last 3 against Adelaide: 118, 104, 104 (109 avg)
Last 3 at AAMI: 118, 104, 118 (113 avg)

Bartel
Last 3: 90, 127, 105 (107 avg)
Last 3 against Adelaide: 72, 121, 111 (101 avg)
Last 3 at AAMI: 72, 111, 145 (109 avg)

Boyd
Last 3: 126, 117, 102 (115 avg)
Last 3 against Essendon: 85, 117, 75 (92 avg)
Last 3 at Etihad: 126, 102, 119 (116 avg)

Ablett
Last 3: 118, 97, 101 (105 avg)
Last 3 against Brisbane: 84, 126, 96 (102 avg)
Last 3 at Gabba: 84, 96, 96 (92 avg)

The thoughts:

Pendlebury
Recent form - four consecutive 120+ scores. Loves playing St. Kilda in the last two years. Three from three tons at Etihad this year. Looks fairly phenomenal! I'd feel safe for something above 120 again this week. Prediction - 130

Swan
Swanny is ON FIRE! 171 followed by 155 in the last two weeks is delicious. Ignore that 83 against the Saints because that was in his form slump which we all know he is well over. Aside from that, he kills it against the Saints with three tons last year. Finally, he's been killing it at Etihad this year. You know he's worth backing. He's definitely the perma-captain! Prediction - 140

Mitchell
Despite the fact that he doesn't seem to like playing Port Adelaide, he tonned up against them earlier this year and Port have been VERY easy to score against recently. Sammy is coming off 10 CONSECUTIVE TONS, second only to Pendles by my count. He's a safe pick to ton up again and he definitely loves the MCG. Prediction - 130

Joel Selwood
Selwood's recent form is great but remember, those two big ones were at Skilled against mediocre opponents. Interestingly, Selwood has never scored below 100 against Adelaide (in fact, he's only ever scored 104 or 118 over 5 games). I would think that he will score well but maybe not as well as the past two weeks. Prediction - 120

Bartel
I don't get what all the fuss is about... His recent form isn't that special, he's not "awesome against Adelaide" as some people have been saying, and he's hardly any better at AAMI. I'm not saying he's a bad choice, it is his 200th and it is against Adelaide, but I don't expect a giant score. Prediction - 105

Boyd
With four tons in a row, Boyd is back on the right track. However, his tons haven't been that big this season and his disappointments have been DT-crushing. Probably not worth the risk right now with no special stats to make him a particularly good options. Prediction - 105

Ablett
Coming back from a hamstring injury, I wouldn't feel very comfortable with Ablett as captain. I'm waiting for him to come back with a big one and I honestly think this will be it (I believe that GC will win and play their hearts out). Still, definitely not safe enough to be considered in my top 3. Prediction - 125

The verdict:

1. Swan (140)
2. Pendlebury (130)
3. Mitchell (130)

Requests:

Rockliff - fran
Last 3: 138, 110, 117 (122 avg)
Last 3 against GC: 86 (86 avg)
Last 3 at Gabba: 138, 117, 121 (125 avg)

Burned a few coaches against the Gold Coast in the first Q Clash but his recent form and form at home is hard to ignore. 7 consecutive tons (and 4 in a row at home) is a nice stat for a young player and I don't think the Suns can stop him this time. I always see a bit of risk with Rocky as captain (a few sub 100 scores) but I don't think he will burn you again. Prediction - 125

Redden - fran
Last 3: 111, 119, 93 (108 avg)
Last 3 against GC: 64 (64 avg)
Last 3 at Gabba: 111, 93, 129 (111 avg)

Recent form isn't bad but it's not good enough to make us forget that 64 against the GC earlier this year. Pass! Prediction - 90

Gibbs - Fireballz
Last 3: 103, 144, 114 (120 avg)
Last 3 against Fremantle: 112, 106, 140 (119 avg)
Last 3 at Subiaco: 112, 97, 140 (116 avg)

Gibbs has a great record against Fremantle with two scores 140+ in 2009 and four consecutive tons against them. His recent form is nothing to laugh at either with five consecutive tons (two 130+). He's shown he can score highly a few times this year and is looking good for a unique captain option. Prediction - 130

Scotland - thanme
Last 3: 148, 110, 106 (121 avg)
Last 3 against Fremantle: 72, 58, 109 (80 avg)
Last 3 at Subiaco: 72, 114, 112 (99 avg)

His recent form is amazing but Scotland doesn't seem to score well against Fremantle. For that, I would say to pass. Prediction - 115

Franklin - Chelskiman
Last 3: 86, 68, 127 (94 avg)
Last 3 against Port: 79, 75, 93 (82 avg)
Last 3 at MCG: 127, 55, 86 (89 avg)

Recent form? Nup. Good against Port? Nup. Anything special about the MCG? Nup. Prediction - 80

Goddard - PowerBug
Last 3: 69, 152, 115 (112 avg)
Last 3 against Collingwood: 111, 110, 96 (106 avg)
Last 3 at Etihad: 69, 115, 109 (98 avg)

If you ignore that 69, Goddard's recent form is great! He's not bad against the Pies but he's nothing special. Obviously good at Etihad (excluding last week). Prediction - 115

If you want me to look at another option, just ask in the comments!

Apologies again and I might add some more if I get time tomorrow.

fran

Thanks :)

can you have a look at Rocky and Redden please

Fireballz

Bryce Gibbs is a sneaky pic actually. Have a look at his record against freo! 118.6 avg over the last 5 games against them....
Curious...
