I would go Thompson only because Mitchell will probably get a rest against Port this week

But if he doesn't?
I need that answer too if GAJ doesn't play.

Mitchell is a Star its a no brainer if he plays

PowerToWin

i have had Thompson all year, in hindsight, I would have preferred Mitchell looking at the numbers.

I think Mitchell will get a rest eventually plus Thompson is a reliable 100pts+ a week anyway.

Thompson for me.

CFC 1979

GAJ got through training ok today. will play

mitchell - in career best form atm

My thoughts exactly..Go Mitchell!!

plugz19

ive got scotty t
but i suggest mitchell
absolutely smashing dt apart this year, so consistent, captain option each week

10 games in a row over the ton, including multiple 120's and 130's

Hawka

Mitchell..easy pick he has been killing it all yr and the mighty hawks have 3 teams in the bottom 9 including power and gc and no bye left

PowerBug

Do you have any more trades after this and what is your cash situation. Obviously if your short on cash go Thompson, but Mitchell has probably got 50pts more for the rest of the season.

hardnut

over the course of the year Mitchell but from here on in Thompson. Hawks are already signalling possible rests (with Mitchell specifically mentioned) and have two very soft opponents to come in Port and GC in round 24.... Personally steer clear of top 4 sides this time of year

McRooster

Thompson, for 2 reasons (although I do have both myself)

1. Thompson will not be rested, Mitchell may get a freshen up rnd 24  :-\

2. This weeks opponents - Since Hawks GF win in 2008 Mitchell has only averaged 72.2pts against Port (Cornes tag) and Thompson has averaged 90pts v Geelong (including pre season matches) for the same period. This round opponent and that 18 point difference may see you have to play another final next week or perhaps give you the week off...

Nice Roost. But Hawthorn aren't playing Port this week :P
