Not having Nicky Dal and Juddy... Is that an issue?

Is not having either one of these guys in the midfield a fatal move?? Not having juddy has cost me two games this season, games that can no longer be lost going forward. But he either has 90 or 200... How can this be sustainable!

So... Hodge and Boyd vs NDS and Juddy... Much of a muchness??

What are your thoughts!?

How have your captaincy picks being going?

Who are your other mids 1-6?

How many trades left?

You can't get them all right. The last 7 weeks NDS has hit a purple patch and is averaging about ~150.

Its all about timing. You could be potentially picking up a premium that is @ the end of its purple patch and waste a trade.

Boyd should be fresh after a bye so hopefully things will pick up.

With 4 weeks to go, I'm not sure its really worth picking up these guys now, even though Judd will probably explode against Freo, still has another bye to go.

Better off saving these trades for injuries/suspensions

Interesting Question. I have neither (nor Pendles for that matter) and am looking to bring in either NDS, Pendles or Mitchell this week (leaning towards NDS or Mitchell). Seems to have got me comfortably above you on our league ladder :)

Different kettle of fish when you enter finals, put the past 20 rounds behind you and pick a midfielder for the next four weeks... Obviously Judd will only give you three of the four weeks.

The current midfield is pendles, swan, ablett, priddis, Boyd and hodge

I'm only asking because juddy has cost me every loss this year... Everyone seems to have him as well so I'm thinking of it as minimizing the chance of losing because of him...

Have 6 trades left and 200+k in the kitty

Thing is, Boyd has the dons at etihad this week...
Hodge has port adelaide, so they can both potentially have big scores as well, but as you say... Juddy v freo could be massive!!

Haha.... I finished first in 4/5 leagues! This league was full of tinar$e!!

I honestly think you've got a solid midfield...

pendles, swan > not worth a trade.
ablett > not worth a trade
priddis > has the easiest fixtures coming up. Melbourne is next
boyd > Bombers at ES. averages over 120+ at ES this year.
hodge > has port adelaide

Post the rest of your team. What do your rucks/backs/forwards look like?

Team as is as;
DEF: Gibbs, Goddard, Fisher, Deledio, Murphy, Grundy, Adcock, [Hurley, Markovich, Andreas]
MIDS: GAJ, Pendles, Swan, Boyd, Priddis, Hodge, [Prestia, Buckley, I Smith]
RUC: Cox, Mumford [Lobbe, Tippett]
FWD: Goodes, Buddy, Stevie J, Pav, Fyfe, Petrie, Harvey, [Mzungu, Talia, mckernan]

Captain has been fairly constant on pendles really and it's worked fine so far...

Next plan was to upgrade prestia to rok and maybe mzungu to chappy (maybe)

Solid team there mate

If i were in your shoes id be using the 6 trades, 2 each week of finals you play, assuming you skip the 2nd week and trade out players with a bye/harder draw for the round.

Maybe trade out Harvey & Petrie this week for 2 other forward guns.

Trade out Gibbs to someone round 3 of finals, then bring him back for GF if you can

Are you currently in the top 4? What does your opposition team look like? You need to make trades to eliminate your oppositions POD.

With 6 trades, 200k in kitty, I would look @ the following

Prestia > Rioli. with the extra 100k you can maybe eliminate a POD if you need to. but even then you don't have many geelong players so going 2nd round is not a bad thing.

I finished first in all but one but the team I'm playing against in one of the leagues has a strong side and I think it's ego driven to win this one really haha

Team mainly the same except he has Judd and NDs vs my Boyd and hodge and he has broughton and johncock vs Grundy and Murphy... So overall very close, he has neon leon, I got Stevie j, etc

Hence why I'm trying to reduce the potential impact of these two players...

Although I do like the idea of rioli swap... Maybe even neon leon... He's killing it

hah judd & dal santo, no wonder you are getting worried. sounds like your opposition has a very good team, do you know how many trades he has.

Yeh definitely look at upgrading Prestia, just take a pick out of all those premiums available.

Right now your POD is your trades. Even if you lose, it probably won't hurt going to the geelong bye where you play guys ranked 5-8. You only have chappy after all and plenty of trades!

Yeah hes ranked quite highly and our scores are always within 20-30 points... So trying to close that gap.

just know that the guys that win the finals are not always the guys with the best teams.

with 6 trades you can pull all sorts of tricks out the bag, especially during the round 23 carlton bye, where everyone is struggling if they don't have trades!.

i have had judd, NDS and pendles from day 1 8)
from 5 years experience in sc and every league i have been in the person who has finished top of ladder has never won the GF..
with your current team and trades up your sleeve you should go the distance..
but judd captain this week might hurt you.. he is my lock in :D
