But unlike Burns, Voss has won 3 premierships of his own.
I don't mean to offend you but that is a pretty crap way to measure how good a player is. By that logic is Voss better than 9 time B&F winner and 3 time Brownlow winner Bob Skilton?
A Premiership is a teams achievement, not an individual accolade.

I'm not saying Voss is better but you can't downplay a players greatness because the men around him weren't quite good enough, can you?

Wow, Michael Voss won 3 premierships in a team who's salary cap had 700k more than anyone elses, which was supposed to be used on costs for new players and rookies to move and for accommodation, but was actually given to your leppitschs and Vosses to keep them together.

Should learn your facts before 'rubbing' something in. Give Collingwood 700k extra for the Salary cap and you will never win a flag again. :x

I think most Adelaide fans will like their new coach Scott Burns.
Fixed that for you Cruise  ;)

I wonder what Voss will have to say when Crows beat Brisbane again next year coached by Scotty Burns  :P

Salary cap, schmalary cap  :P

Collingwood, aka Melbourne Storm, has likely been lining the pockets of its players with its multitude of pokie machine profits and hotel investment returns.

-source, Parsons nose  ;)

8-6 Suited

Clubs have been doing it for Decades, every club has. Now, only Judd gets the legal treatment that way.

QuoteI think most West Coast fans like Scott Burns.

why? he turned them into wooden spooners.

But being an ex collingwood player he will take the credit for their success this year. Let me guess he probably wasnt trying on '09' and '10'  ::)
And potentially Michael Voss has made Brisbane into wooden spooners, if not he took them from a finals team to a very porr team that will finish bottom 4 this year and maybe the next couple.

I hate Michael Voss, I have no real feelings towards Scott.

Michael Voss took us from outside the top 8 to the 2nd round of finals in his first year of coaching  ::)

He had a good team already capable of doing that, now he has ruined that.

From memory Brisbane were very close to finals that year.
He then lost his nut used a club great as trade bait, traded a bunch of duds in and now your team is screwed for some time. Clap clap.

Agree we went backwards in the mature trades Department Only Staker and to a lesser extent Maguire were a success. However I would ask how any club could cope with the injuries we have had this year Brown, Rich, Adcock, Drummond, Merrett, Staker now Patfull.

Essendon and Fremantle have had far more injuries and are doing much better.

Yeah our injuries are of bigger concern IMO... Adcock, Drummond, Merrett, Staker and Maguire... 5 of our best back 6 out... Our only genuine forward option and some of our best midfielders...

We've also had quite a few more injuries than what was listed there.

Oh please we had Hooker, Fletcher, Pears all out at the same time meaning Carlisle had to swing back (which he is capable of) and so did Ryder. Dempsey is out for the rest of the season, that is 4 of our best defenders and the 'spiritual leader' of our club in Fletch. Hurley has missed weeks one of our best key backs when he is down there and our best forward by miles.
Prismall was hitting some form when he did his knee, Colyer will be gone for the year (probably), Jobe and Hocking have missed weeks often at the same time as well.
That is basically the core of our club. We are still in the 8. Freo is 9th and they have had as many as us.

Bris have not been burnt, not when you compare them to Freo and Essendon.

Nails

"one of our best"

J. Brown = our best forward, our captain and spiritual leader
Maguire = our best CHB
Merrett = our best FB
Drummond = our best rebounding back
Staker = our best utility
Tom Rockliff = our best young midfielder.

We're not losing "one of our best" we're losing our very best at what they do and having to play kids from the magoos.

Nails -as a fellow Brisbane supporter  What are your thoughts on Craig as Director of Coaching to assist Voss. I think it will be good especially on Match days as at times Vossie seems slow to react to changes required. If we get all our players fit looking forward to 2012. Karnezis and Cornelius supporting Brownie up front.

AFEV

M. Hurley= Our best forward and very well may be our best defender at the same time. Making him our best utility as well.
D. Fletcher= Spiritual leader and when it is required of him lifts the team to get the win, could be argued he is our best defender
T. Pears= Once again could be argued he is our best defender
C. Hooker= For the third time, could be argued he is our best defender (how many clubs have had their 4 best talls defenders out at once?)
C. Dempsey= Our best rebounding defender
J. Winderlich= Our best outside mid
J. Watson= Our best inside mid and our captain
H. Hocking= Our second best inside mid and our no. 1 tagger

So our best players are out, in comes the Bendigo Squad, and then THEY get injured!

Freo is a similar deal. You can't even argue that you have been hit as hard.
