C'mon footycool, nothing wrong there. Adelaide gets an 8.30pm start every Friday night, some Melbourneans would probably say stiff chedder. But I personally can see value in an "Ashes Cook off" followed by an entertaining feature of the worlds wierdest plants buy the legendary Graham Ross (who). Who knows you might learn what the poms like to eat before a big game (must know information there) or what about the botanical name to the rarest most unknown weed (hemp) going around.
Stay tuned and learn lots little man, it's in your best interest surely.
Just wish i was living in Melbourne so I could witness such an event.

Channel 7 her in Melbourne town r pissin u off footy fans, the game will get 90+ thousand and it needs to be live, they even can show it live, its in there contract and they CHOOSE not to and instead show this flower show. This to me is a sign of not commiting to the footy coverage, and they wouldnt even show saints vs Geelong live, so in order to make it live the afl had to move the game to 3pm so that is would coincide with channel 7's normal DELAYED broadcast of the game, they for some reason dont like showing live footy, so IMO 7, Get stuffed

Foxtel are the complete opposite of Channel 7, awesome coverage of games with no ads. Channel 7 has the chance to show live games, yet they delay it as long as possible and pump it full of ads and jargon by their useless commentators.

Take round 1. Carlton vs richmond was meant 2 b a sellout, but when 10 showed it live, they lost 10,000+ ppl into the match.

the sentance is bold freezer pissies me off the most, its not like they r forced to show delayed, the WANT to show delayed. IMO this is a sign of a not commited broadcaster of AFL. Channel nine IMO would do a much better job and would, if they has the coverage show the Dons vs Pies match LIVE, not delayed and also they have better commentators

al, what the difference between richmond and carlton supporters and dons and pies supporters, MORE OF THEM and btw, the mcg people have told the media that there r 5000 public seats left and 1500 AFL member seats left, for a game this big and Melbourne, being as  sports mad as it, will not buy tickets and not go in order to watch in the comfort of there homes

Footycool, thats what the pow(d)er puffs do over here. They dont go to the games because they can watch on free to air TV. This is why Port are struggling financially.
Probably a bit harsh on most of them because they can't afford the gate fees.
Last year the Schools sold Pow(d)er tickets for $3.00 Each. I bought six tickets and took my kids and neighbours kids to watch. Couldnt believe even then that AAMI wasn't even half full. Just for the record Port played an excellent game and had a good win over the Eagles. The kids got face paintings & it was a good cheap day out.
Must admit though a round of pies & cokes = Not much change out of a $50 note. But totally worth the day out.

Channel 7 want ratings, simple as that. This "loyalty" term is all PA-drivel spoken from a puppet.

I'm guaranteed Seven's coverage of a Friday night game - in particular this blockbuster - would double the usual viewer ratings between 7:30pm and 10:00pm, and would far outweigh the loyalist numbers watching BH&G + a delayed telecast of the game.

This move is pissweak and very poorly thought out.

You think that's bad try living in Perth! All our games are delayed and I got foxtel so I could watch them live but now foxtel has gone to showere too and charges people in perth if they want to watch it live!!!!

First year of foxtel I got to wtch all the blues games live and most other games now it's crap!!!!

Even the Dockers/Eagles games are not always live here!

It's all about the $$$$ and stuff the fans!
