Are we neglecting someone? I think yossi benayoun might be looking to stake his claim. After an injury riddled year last year he may be the solution to our midfield dilemma.

I like Yossi, he can do some brilliant things at times, but I think he will be used more as an impact player off the bench.  He should get a lot of game time this season, but most of it I would suspect will be from the bench.  Plus he's not really a central midfielder, he is more an attacking mid/second striker who slots in just behind the striker.  He can play wide left or right too, so he is versatile, which makes me believe even more that he will be used as a sub.

I'd like to see Arsenal line-up with:

GK: Almunia

D:    Sagna  ,     Squillaci  ,  Vermaelen  ,  Gibbs

DM:

M:              Fabregas      ,      Wilshere

AM:  Walcott                 ,                   Arsharvin

ST:              Van Persie  ,  Chamakh
No Nasri PB? Also Szczesny is a far better keeper than Almunia. Plus Song needs to play for the defensive quality he gives to the midfield, letting the more attacking players do their thing. Also think Gervinho would be ahead of Chamakh ;)

You seriously go for Arsenal lol? Szczesny and even Fabianski are ahead of Almunia. Djourou and Koscielny are way ahead of Squillaci. Nasri and Gervinho are also ahead of Arshavin and Chamakh. Also as CF mentioned, we need Song in there for sure or else we will get ripped in the mid with no defensive player allowing the others to attack.

First line says - I'd like to Arsenal line-up with. Not Arsenal will line-up with.

Alright, i forgot Song.
I believe that Almunia is better than Szczesny and Fabianski.
Nasri is going to Man City, that is why he isn't there.
Squillaci is a gun.
Maybe with a change in formation Diaby could fit in there.

Baines on the right??
Probably mixed up Baines and Coleman (confused which way to post them).

Wouldn't suprise me if Everton went in with just Saha at the front with Cahill playing a Shadow-type Striker.

Would say this is how United will set up at the start of the season...

               De Gea

Rafael  Vidic  Ferdinand  Evra

Nani  Fletcher  Carrick  Young

        Rooney  Hernandez

The battle for the RB spot is the one which could change with Rafael, Fabio, Jones and Smalling all fighting it out for that spot. Also I would prefer to see Anderson partner Fletcher in the middle just to add a bit more spark than what Carrick brings. But still hoping they actually sign a new midfielder. Nani and Young starting on the wings, Nani has been dominating during pre season, Young has been playing pretty well and Valencia has only just started training again after being injured...

What about Park instead of Carrick? Although he is used more for Cup matches still quite a solid player to be able to easily slide in instead of Carrick right?

That RB spot is going to be quite tough with all the youngsters fighting over it :P.

Park is more of a winger than central midfielder ;)
Regarding the right back spot they will probably play either Rafael or Fabio against the majority of teams to add attacking flair from the back, but when up against the better teams play Jones or Smalling for defensive security

As I said he has just got back to training after injury so should start the game behind Nani and Young. Although they will most likely be rotating all 3 throughout the season. Valencia will also most likely start the games against the big clubs over Nani cos he offers more defensively
