IM pumped for tonights game i think we have a decent chance, if we win this could put as in a poll place to make the 8. WE have a very good record against them and beat them last year quite easily. Carlton can have its off days as we saw when the lost to the dogs. Will be my the 3rd time i get to watch the roos play this season with them being only shown a couple of times in WA.

Is anyone else as optimistic as me.  (I may have jinxed them and they might lose by 100 points but hopefully not). On a side note

exact same thing i picked carlton but if i were a betting man i would put some money on the roos.

roo boys!

Went to the game with optimism overflowing out of me, and I think we stuck with them for a fair while, but lacked the polish really.

I just finished watching the game, RB you would have been out of your seat at your fave player Lachie Hansen when he missed that set shot with 5min to go. That would have made it 67 to 80 with 5 on the clock, instead it turned out that it was the last score for the game as Carlton just decided to lock it down from there.

Carlton only in 3rd gear it seemed, Gibbs 3 votes, Murphy 2 and Swallow 1.

Dissapointed, but out of that game I see very bright things for the future. Especially from Harper, Swallow and Ziebell. We've just got so much talent running through that midfield it's not funny, I can't wait until their foot skills and decision making becomes better. Their ball winning ability and hard work is second to none.

roo boys!

@Roost haha yeah, I don't mind Hansen when he's down back, can't miss shots if he stays in the defensive 50! ::) :P

Yeah NMF, I think our midfield is really great for the future.

Goldstein is one of the best rucks in the comp, and getting better every week.

Then our 7 8 9 combo:
Ziebell is a great ball collecter, just keeps getting it! He is so hard at it, a real gritty inside player.

Then Wells just adds class to it, he has great delivery and plenty of poise. Just seems to have so much time when he has the ball.

Swallow is just a great clearance player, loves to tackle, puts in 120% every week. Can't ask for any more.

That's our ideal midfield set up, but Greenwood is often in there tagging. But JZ is developing as a bit of a tagger too.

Then we've got players like Atley, Cunnington, HARPER :-*, Adams, Anthony, Boomer, Ross (if he breaks into the side) and many others to rotate through there.

Holz

harper inpressed me alot in that game, bastinac looked good as always and Swallow, JZ and Goldy keep getting better.

You North Melbourne Supporters thought you had a chance  ;D

Seriously though, if we would of kicked straight, R&B you would of left at half time.

if we had of kicked straight on the field the reverse would have happened. We were shocking on the field and you guys were shocking at goals. Carlton deserved it though if Gellong or Roos dont win the flag im going for the juddernaughts.

Sorry to say it but Carlton are shower, they're not a top 4 side at all. Their midfield holds them up, their forwards and back suck. All you need is someone to pay attention to Betts and then the only other option is Walker to tries to take the most unrealstic speccies I've ever seen, which completely lets down the team.

I mean they're not all that bad, Gibbs + Scottland + their midfield is amazing, but after that...... :o Kangaroos made Henderson look like a superstar last night by putting the ball over Drew Petrie's head and letting Hendersons pace run onto it. Don't let them fool you, Kangaroos made them look like a good team last night, if we had of hit targets we had that game.

AFEV

Jamo was not there though last night and neither was Waite.
I mean I agree with you their midfield really makes their team look better than it is but they are still a top 4 side as there is a big gap between the top 3 and the rest of the comp.
I hope the Weagles catch them. >:D

Do you know what it has felt like many times this season now, watching your team outplay the others but not being able to show it on the scoreboard? Now you got a piece of that frustration ;D

Master Q

We still won though. You're saying we are shower - does that mean we can't be a Top 4 side?

Secondly Betts  only scored 1 goal last night and Walker 2. I wonder what would of happened if we had Waite there...

North Melbournes Finest

You could and probably will finish 4th, but in any other years I wouldn't consider you worthy of being a top 4 side considering the only thing holding you up is your midfield.
