I played premium DT last year and swore I wouldn't play it again.
It wasn't the concept that I didn't like but I think some people exploited the draft so they could win the major prize.
From memory ( and I could be wrong ), I think the 1st ranked team won $5000 and with 10 teams in a league, this could easily be divided up into $500 each if you "allowed" one team free reign at who they could select in the draft.
It seemed like teams at the top of the table had purposely set their league up so they could pick the most premium side possible.
I thought that was unfair and didn't allow for people to strategically pick a side and compete against others.
I hope those of you who are fairly playing this year have not been pitted against this strategy by others.
It was a theory of mine that I thought was taking place and subsequently turned me off.

Mighty Ducks

I'm playing Premium DT this year(first time).

To the best of my knowledge there are no prizes of any sort on offer this year. Instead I think they suggest it's up to each individual league to decide if they want to play for prize money or not.

Anyway, I'm enjoying it.

haha, yeh i wasnt too sure if there was any prizes for premium dream team this year (my first year) but i was thinking that same thing up too, costs only $10 per account, so $100 a league, get one team to choose the guns and the other teams have spuds and jus face rape over every other kunt out there averaging 2500 a week or something, haha.
i love the concept of the live draft n only one team in the league being able to pick gablett, then another only having bartel etc. they should make a new dream team like that next year thats free...

Speculator

I agree that the overall rankings in premium DT are a joke because it is very easy to rort the system. But even within the individual leagues themselves there are inequalities. In my league, there was one bloke who finished work early every day (he is a teacher) and so whenever a gun was returning from injury or something, he had first access to the teams on Thursday arvo while the rest of us were at work. By the time I came home to make my trades any returning guns were gone. It is inherently unfair on those who can't do trades when the teams are announced on Thursday nights. For these reasons it lacks the credibility of normal DT and SC
