When they don't 'bomb it long' into fwd 50, Petrie actually has a chance ...

and he scores well for SC/DT!   ;)

Kangas delivery via 'bombing it long'
Exhibit A: rd15 vs Saints DT=51, SC=71
Exhibit B: rd16 vs Pies DT=24, SC=31

Kangas delivery out in front to space
Exhibit C: rd17 vs Dogs DT=146, SC=157
Exhibit D: rd18 vs Lions DT=127, SC=119

At least it only took them a few games to sort their shower out.
(i also realise pressure allows more time for delivery so the opposition has a direct correlation for this, but there is still no excuse for bombing it long at the professional level)

For the sake of all Petrie owners' SC/DT scores, please Kangas, don't just bomb it in long!  ;)

Now who's gonna coach the Crows and tell the Kurt Tippett where to start and where to lead to and for his mid-field not to bomb it long into him, so I can select him in my ruck division in 2012?   ;)

I think first they need to teach Kurt how to kick for goal without taking 40 seconds :o

they need to teach him how to kick for goal full stop :P

roo boys!

I must agree with Alex there! It's amazing.

Now in regards to Petrie, it is true that when we take more time to put it on his chest it makes his job so much easier. Same for any forward really.

That's part of the reason why I love Kieran Harper and Ben Speight (injured now) as players, because their silky smooth skills ensure great delivery OR goal kicking capabilities.

That is why talks of trading McIntosh for Suckling got me really excited. Our backline is good at defending but can often miss their targets with the kicks. Imagine having Suckling putting it on the chest of Boomer on the flank 60m away from him, and then seeing him deliver it down the throat of Petrie 8)
