Leigh Matthews has said 'don't even bother sending him the plane fare' - he would speak with Adelaide on a consultancy basis to give his 2cents worth on Who but has ruled himself out completely.

Leigh also ruled out Bomber Thompson and Paul Roos as they have lost their 'drive' to succeed at the top level after having tasted the success of GF victory, that may just be the hunger though that Adelaide could whet Eade's appetite with (and line his pockets too  ;)) - talk is now of 1million per season being offered  :o

Eade could be a great prospect for the Crows. But then of course, who would coach the Dogs?

Ziplock leading the charge ;)
Go you good thing  ;)

I've already accepted the position. Offered it to me just then. I just got off the phone with my local afl club, and I've 'hired out' our Under 6's team- we will be flying to adelaide tomorrow in order for my 6 year olds to give a demonstration to the crows about how to (in general terms) play football.

Inclusive in this instruction will be- how to catch, how to kick, how to jump and how to run seminars.

At the end of the week we will be playing a game, the crows vs's the kids- any adelaide player that manages to out mark one of the U6's will receive a cupcake.

Impressed on my rigorous training regime? :P

I will implement it in the future zippy :).

Oh Great -  another Coach who can't get his team to tackle  :P

Groundhog Day.

Zarts

well, I would teach them how to tackle, but unfortunately I can't think of any worthy opposition- it would be dangerous obviously, to use 6 year olds.

I mean, the crows would get get annihilated :P

Now I can't work out the last bit of this sentence. Do you mean you will hold a seminar teaching them how to run, or do you mean you will teach them how to run a seminar? ;)

Zarts

both, I believe seminar running capability is a huge asset to an afl team.

But you need to learn to walk first before you can run... ;) :P

Wait? What?  ???

Clarkson is just doing what the players do with GC & GWS, making sure the next contract he signs is a good one and playing up the (very unlikely) option of coaching elsewhere. I saw Rodney Eade doing the same thing last night.

Oldest trick in the book.

RiOtChEsS

agreed Cruise, its going to be Goody imo or there may be some uproar going an untried coach with no SA ties...

Having a home grown coach wont inspire me to go to games, and dont see it making anyone else want to. Maybe it will only work for a few weeks until they realise its a shower decision.

Sad as it is, winning games bring crowds. I dont like the idea of Bicks or Goodwin.
