just saying... but afl players have nothing on these guys. the endurance, smarts, skill, tactics and pure power leave afl players in the dark. the most amazing athletes in the world in my opinion...

best tour in years.

go cadel! this is your time.
This and cross country skiing are the most brutal sports in the world.

CADEL!!!!!! YELLOW!!!!!

LEGEND!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! :-*

Wes Mantooth

What a champion. Toast of Australia.

McRooster

Mentally prepared, physically prepared, today Cadell has triumphed over all.

History has demonstrated that the most notable winners usually encountered heartbreaking obstacles before they triumphed.
They won because they refused to become discouraged by their defeats.

Cadell today you have become legend  8)

Enjoy the ride into Paris tomorrow!

Enjoy the ride to Paris indeed.

CrowsFan

Schleck must be sick of finishing second haha. Is that 3 years in a row now?

bomberboy0618

At the risk of sounding like an idiot wasn't last night the penultimate stage?
So what is happening tonight, nothing?

CrowsFan

Yeah basically BB. The final stage is just the ride to Paris, almost like a parade to celebrate the champion and say well done to all the others who finished. There is an unwritten rule that you don't attack on the final day, which is why when Cadel finished 2nd by 2 seconds a few years ago he did nothing on the final stage

bomberboy0618

Oh ok. That would be so dog if someone did, but I guess if it isn't in the rules than they can't exactly get mad. Well done Cadel!

CrowsFan

Well it is a flat stage anyway so they wouldn't really be able to out run the whole peleton. They would just get chased down ;)
