I know that i won't win the competition, so i'm going to attempt something that i see as logical. My defence will be filled with defenders from the top clubs, my mids will be filled with solid mids from top clubs, and my strikers will be cheap.

Evra , Clichy , Skrtel , Ivanovic , Sagna
Yaya Toure (c) , Downing , N'Zogbia , Modric (Wilshere)
Odemwingie (Vela , Graham)

Graham might be seen as a waste, but Swansea will be around the bottom and he should play eventually. On a side note, doesn't Swansea have a nice ring to it, say it in an English accent, Swansea.

If you're going to go cheep with the strikers might as well get someone who will play instead of Vela. You should get Holt since he is the same price

Alright, thanks with that. That's where i'll need the advice, which of those cheap strikers to get.

Not really, cos he will be fighting it out with Rafael, Fabio, Jones and even Evans for a starting spot so will get rotated in my opinion...

COrrect me if i'm wrong but is Suarez missing the first few matches due to his Copa America comittments and therefore lack of rest during the off season? Nasri and Barton's postions in their respective teams are very much up in the air so tread carefully Other than that i have nothing :)

Barton is cheap but is a free agent for now ;). Even if he goes to a club like Man U, think he could break into their starting XI like that? :P.

Carragher is a very solid defender but for the same price you could get Skrtel (who's Liverpool as well). He's much more attacking and has the ability to score more points if you are looking for a Liverpool defender for cheap-ish.

Alex is fighting for a spot in Chelsea's defence (Cole and Ivanovic side backs I presume and Terry and Luiz/Alex will partner up in the middle). It's risky but may pay off (although many wouldn't bet on it :P).
