Only injury I am aware of luigi is Essien so I think they might play like this... (backs I am pretty certain about, but the rest is a little iffy...)

This formation doesnt by any means solve our problem of playing drogba and torres at the same time but at least my Danny (sturridge) should get a game and so will benayoun and hopefully mceachran at some point.
Don't think i left anyone out but i doubt i'll be that close....

LE there is absolutely no defensive cover from the the midfield there...

Luiz and Alex are interchangeable but i started Alex as he is more experienced and Luiz is still pretty raw. Luiz played a lot toward the backend of last season due to Alex's injury.

I think that CF is on the money (well closer than me) but i'd switch over Ramires and Mikel (who is more defensive). Only problem with Mikel is he slows the play down a lot which isn't great for Torres i don't think.

Yeah I wasn't sure who was the more defensive between Mikel and Ramires. Agree that it will be Luiz fighting it out with Alex, but I reckon Luiz will get the nod :)

yeah well apparently lamps is playing more defensive throughout our malaysia tour so maybe he'll be more defensive under AVB and we'll play a diamond in the middle with Modric or Benayoun at the pointy end of it??
Not really sure. Watched all the chelsea games until January but when Sturridge moved to bolton i started to watch a fair bit more of bolton.

I'll make a predicted formations thread where everyone can post their predicted formations for their team this season.... ?

Hard to say as I'm not AVB and i assume CF isn't (?) but i'd probably say Benayoun of that lot if he can stay fit and uninjured. He's got amazing skill and could be that creative spark that we need to start Torres scoring goals. Benayoun and Torres did link up countless times for Liverpool so maybe....
