Trade Advice Please

First of all my team:

Lids, Gibbs, Broughton, Godd, Murphy, Heppel, Lower   (Pedersen, L thompson, Toy)

Judd, JPK (syd), Ablett, Swan, Bartel, D.Swallow  (Krak, Prestia, Hibbard)

Cox, K.Tippett  (Sandi, McCauley)

Pav, ROK, Goodes, Stevie J, Sylvia, Higgins, Yarran  (T.Lynch(GC), Mzungu, Talia)

5 Trades left with 238K in the bank.

I'm in 4th place in my league but i play 2nd, and 3rd in the next 2 SC rounds and 5th place is only behind me on percentage.
I am hoping to keep my place in the top 4 as then there is always the hope i won't need cover for my geelong players if i can win the first rd of finals and i don't have any prem roos for the first rd of finals.

This is what i was thinking of doing and wondered what other people thought since this is my first year as a SCer.

This week Yarran => Franklin  (Franklin has bottomed out and i have 3 cartlon players for SC finals)
Next week Pedersen => Fisher
These 2 trade might be just the boost i need to win last 2 rds

Leaves 3 trades left for finals

This will free up Heppell to be back or mids cover with MPP link with Hibbard and i have plenty of MPP options for mid/fwd cover and even Talia with Murphy for fwd/back cover.

I could save all 5 trades for finals but i would likely drop to 5th in league without that little bit extra because my opp in next 2 rd's avg about the same as me.

I would look at moving on D. Swallow to a premium mid.

then Heppel > Fisher the week after.

i guess you need to find the right balance in terms of what you can afford

Yeah i take your point, i know D.swallow is a weak point.

Other option could be swallow => priddis (good run home) this week

hep/ped => fisher next week

The other thing i need to consider is do i burn another trade on a downgrade (Callinan when named) to then be able to use my last 2 trades in finals as upgrades instead of sidegrades?

avoid callinan.  the remaining trades are for injuries/suspensions/etc. 

most of these will be sideways trades.

I would not burn a trade on a downgrade with three left.  You will need them for finals with Gibbs, Heppell, Hibberd, Judd, Bartel, Stevie J and Yarran all with byes in finals. As Charlie has said as I was writing this keep for sideways or injuries.
