Hey guys ..Should I get rid of J.Roo? Has been disappointing. Reckon Richmond will send him for off season surgery early as they will not make finals.

Now thinking of going J.Roo to Talia this week for cash.
Next week Shaw to Fisher. Would open up MPP with Murphy and leave us with 4 trades for finals plus cash and only Krak to really upgrade if no LTI's. What do ya think?

Only 6 trades though. Could just sit tight until finals with top 4 sewn up.
Any suggestions or help will be appreciated.

B: Gibbs, Lids, Goddard, Suckling, Murphy, Heppell, Lower (SHAW, Howard, Buckley)
M: Swan, Pendles, Judd, Ablett, Hodge, Cross (Jacobs, Bewick, Prestia)
R: Cox, LOBBE (SANDI, Tippett)
F: N.Roo, ROK, Buddy, Goodes, J.Roo, Fyfe, Pavlich (Krak, Siposs, Mzungu)

tough one Slammer, i've got him too ...

I reckon if you've sewn up your top4 ladder spot, hold those 6 trades for finals when you can ditch him for something better when it really counts ... only ditch him for Talis if you really, really need the cash ... but i think the trades will help you more ...
the MPP thing might help you out with that last Bulldogs bye in rd20 so you have to weigh all that up.

i just think since you're top4 safe, not a lot of point trading now cos it doesn't really count for you right now, unless you're chasing overall ranking ...

good luck!

Yeah cheers j959.
The JRoo idea was purely for cash and MPP.
I have to offload Shaw eventually and with maybe Talia on bubble at least I will get a back up player and make cash.
Maybe just go Shaw to Talia this week and hold. Not sure if I will have enough cash (only have $27K now) for straight Shaw Fisher swap next week and may miss out if Fisher has a blinder.
What do ya reckon?

Ringo

Note that although you have J Tippett you do not have the Forward link.  Have you considered upgrading one of J Roo, Krak or Mzungu to Petrie or Hale and then cashing in on Lobbe to Thompson this week (Thompson has being back for GC although listed in rucks and is on the bubble this week so maximum cash available)
I would not worry too much about Fisher having a blinder as his B/e is 174 so low possibility of exceeding that and if he does only mimimal price rise. On reverse further price reduction if he does not reach. (The 36 he got v PA is still effecting his B/e)
This will leave you 3 trades for finals and up to you
Lobbe > Thompson
J Roo > Petrie

Shaw to Fisher next week
Should also leave you about $80k cash. I know Petrie has bye in week 1 of finals but you have coverage in forwards in Krak or Mzungu.

Basically you play Petrie in rucks until Sandi returns and then you have an additional forward to cover.  Read somewhere that Sandi was 50/50 for Local derby this week but would not put a lot of faith in it.

Just another suggestion but as always trade with your gut feel to future.

As you also say you could sit tight and just downgrade as bubble boys come up prior to finals and build cash for upgrades. So if inclined as you have said one of Krak or J Roo to Talia and after this week v St Kilda has a reasonable draw as well.

After 4 games, is Lobbe really worth getting rid of?

I would be inclined to definitely grab Talia in the forward line.

What you do after that is up to you, whether you want petrie, fisher, whatever...  really a line call here.

I forgot to say, Tigers have some 'tasty' opponents in the final home-run stretch (apart from the Sydney game):

rd21 - Sydney
rd22 - Melb
rd23 - Adel
rd24 - North

Only issue is J Roo looks like the rib inj or whatever it is, is really cramping his explosive style of play ...

I think Shaw to Talis is ok cos you have to get rid of Heater anyway and you could really use the cash at finals time.
As Ringo wrote, Fisher next wk or wk after next might be optimal ... Saints play Suns rd19!  8)

the only risk is if you trade Shaw to player "X" and then player "X" gets injured - but then again that would hurt just as much now as it would if you trade during finals and that happens  - that sort of stuff is up to the DT/SC gods ...  ;)

Yeah but who do I use? JRoo, Krak, Prestia or Mzungu to get Talia.

charliesheen

line call, your going to have to back your own judgement.

For me its

Jroo > Talia...  **optional: rookie > petrie (again line call here but will smash BL)

then next week

shaw > fisher.

Yeah cheers CS.
Leaning towards JRoo to Talia and Prestia to Petrie.
Risky I know but then Shaw to Fisher week after. Sit and hold on with 3 trades for finals.

charliesheen

imo, the extra trade will pay for itself as it provides extra MPP coverage.

will be a solid team.

Suckling and Murphy out..may have to hold all trades now CS.
Or just make the one J.Roo to Talia for cover.
