hey guys,

Could someone please help. Cannot decide my next move.
Currently equal top going for league win and cannot really get knocked out of top 4.
6 trades, $27K left.

Can just afford a Shaw -> Newman (1 trade) this week but had planned on getting Fisher next week.
Also still have fwd upgrade to do either Krak or J.Roo. Should I do the Newman trade or wait for Fisher?
Or should I go Buckley to Talia or Callinan and Krak or J.Roo to a Cloke or even Petrie?
Not really concerned with Ruck donut this week as I reckon Sandi will be back week after and can still possible win.
Only 6 trades though. Could just sit tight until finals with top 4 sewn up.
Any suggestions or help will be appreciated.

B: Gibbs, Lids, Goddard, Suckling, Murphy, Heppell, Lower (SHAW, Howard, Buckley)
M: Swan, Pendles, Judd, Ablett, Hodge, Cross (Jacobs, Bewick, Prestia)
R: Cox, LOBBE (SANDI, Tippett)
F: N.Roo, ROK, Buddy, Goodes, J.Roo, Fyfe, Pavlich (Krak, Siposs, Mzungu)

This is what I'm doing, with similar trades scenario

Shaw > Talia
Jroo/Krak > Cloke/Fyfe

then

grab Fisher week after through Heppel/Buckley/whatever...

How many trades do you have?

charliesheen

i've got 7.

you could also put talia in the forward line to release Murphy from the backs.  theres quite a few diff combinations you can do.

petrie is an option too.

charliesheen

hmmm, guaranteed top 4, yeh you probably don't need to do anything.  could hold and go Shaw > Fisher straight swap next week.

Personally, I am moving Jroo this week to Cloke/Fyfe, I am losing too many overall points with him as my F7.

I expect Petrie to go big against BL this week, where podsy kicked 8 on mcguire.

Diesels Pups

Similar scenario for me this week but i only have 4 trades left  with my side otherwise complete, so thinking i'll  hold trade and wait for Fischer's price drop.
Lets hope he doesn't pull a blinder and goes up in price. lol

what about keeping him on the bench and say upgrade mzungu or smith to fyfe..
im thinking this exact trade this week.
would it be better to keep jroo on the bench as we know he can belt out big scores when fit?

charliesheen

scotty_222, I thought about that but I actually think I prefer having Mzungu/I.Smith/Prestia over Jack.

Its a serious concern when he can only manage 80 odd against Gold Coast and 80 odd against Brisbane Lions (with no merret).

Not sure if he should even be playing right now.

yeah well i watched the gc game.. and he seemed to just jog everywhere.
but if they rest him and get him right he maybe good to have in the finals?
just a thought, i just dont know which way to go..
like we all say never get rid of a prem lol whether he is still that!

if the rumors about his injury are correct, I don't see him worth holding even as a F8.  I'd rather have the extra MPP's from callinan/prestia/mzungu/i.smith

i think you have to go with your gut on this decision, and the reality is, I wish I pulled this trigger earlier when Cloke was 400k and Jack was 375k, but I pussied out.

Yeah do not really have to trade but not many downgrade targets left to grab some cash for upgrades.
May go Buckley to talia and hold for fisher next week. Looking ahead I like the fact that Petrie will be up against Richmond in GF. Cloke against Cats so may struggle.
6 trades is not alot with 7 weeks to go.
Leaves me three options

A) Do not trade (Shaw to Fisher next week hopefully)
B) Buckley to Talia for cash (Shaw to Fisher still next week)
C) Buckley to Talia and J.Roo to Petrie/Cloke (two trades leaving only 4 then  Shaw to Fisher week after - only 3 trades left)

Leaning towards A or B

charliesheen

With Heath Shaw out for awhile, it might be a good idea to hold onto Buckley.

If you have Talia up forwards it should also open up some MPP's

Hmm..  some decisions to be made of who to stay and who to go.   Krak will probably have a blinder against GC too.

roo boys!

I think Petrie could have a huge one against Brissy...
