Well after alot of bad luck this year in supercoach, not just in player trades but also in my League games i have been left with a single trade.

And guess what....i plan on using it this round.

Before you get all Supercoach Know it all on me on how stupid i am let me give you a better picture on why i plan on doing this.

Firstly here is my team

http://img135.imageshack.us/img135/7711/scteam.png

secondly, i am currently 6-7 in my Competitive work league, thus making me currently 9th on the ladder, with only 2 league games before the end of the normal games and the finals begins i pretty much need to win both games to assure my spot in the finals.

after looking at my team and thinking of the best option for how to insure i have a full Premium side for both round 18 and round 20 i have come up with this conclusion (which i would love to receive some feedback on)

Mzungu -> Fyfe in FWD line.

Yep thats correct, leaving me with 8 Premium forwards and planning on Benching the underperforming Riewoldt.

This will enable me to have a full side of 22 premiums for round 18 with Riewoldt as FWD emergency. and in round 20 i'll be able to sub Fyfe into my midfield to cover Boyd's bye and then still play Riewoldt in the fwd line.

I've already done the maths for this trade and i'll be left with only $300 in the bank afterwoulds (How lucky is that)

So yeah i know i will be left with no trades for the rest of the year but I think it is worth the risk because of how i desperately need to win the next 2 to make finals and also because i still have most of my Rookies playing which means plenty of cover if needed.

Feedback please :D

You could be trading in Tony Lockett or Ted Whitten and I'd still say no. Hold.

Mate i've got to go for broke. if i lose one of these next games the only thing ill be holding for the rest of the year is my C**K

dmac07

In your position, trade. That trade wont do you much good if you finish 9th.

masterjudd

I'd say just make sure you select the right captain this week and you'll be FINE! don't be silly and use that trade, especially with players like ablett, swan and adcock in your side.. They have all been injured this year already just to show what can happen.
My situation the last two weeks has been such: Dawes injured, then shaw gambled then I traded in j brown. With 5 trades and only a backmen needed, I know am struggling for funds to finish my team!

gpdemons

I'm in the same type of position mate, got one trade left and thinking of getting in Daisy Thomas this week for Mundy.

Spite

Why post this man? You are 9th and need to win 2 more games to make the finals. You have 1 trade. TRADE SO YOU MAKE THE FINALS. There is no point holding onto it and finishing 9th. Go for broke.

UNLESS

You are playing people who are near the bottom on the ladder, in which case hold because you SHOULD win anyway. Assuming you are playing someone around you on either side, trade to give yourself the best chance to win. If someone goes down with injury, well you have fyfey to take his spot while the injured player recovers.

Good luck, be sure to let us know what happens :)

mishkalove

Go for it, bro.

You're clearly no nuffie, you've thought it through. It may have escaped you, but doing this will also cover Petrie and Chappy in the finals. Then you only have to worry about Gibbs if you get that far, and considering how the backs have been scoring, there's not a whole lot to be lost there.

I'd be keeping an eye on the potential scores your two opponents might rack up... but if it's the move that is going to put you on top, just do it.

And uh... maybe save a few of those trades next season, eh? You really haven't done yourself any favours this time around.

Jacka33

Yea I did realize that it also allows me to cover chappy and Petrie in the first 2 finals. Let's just pray I make it that far ey :D

I'd think of trading Jolly for Cox who is only 497k and in good form

Definately Hold,

A injury to a premium player now will cripple your side riewolt is averaging 84 and fyfe 110 with st kilda's favourable draw he in my opinion could play a good enough role plus they have adelaide this week at etihad then its a bye round in SC if you need to make the trade i would at least wait till rd 20. Your team with rioli back definately strong enough to win in my opinion with nearly a full side plus Fyfe runs into a rampaging west coast at home this week and is due for 1 bad one after a sensational season to date. So it comes down to is 26 points extra worth the risk of having of a prem mid coming down with an injury and left with no trades.

man it's not like you're playing a rookie and are upgrading. you have prems in all positions.

just hold it in case of injury (what if fisher or someone gets hurt in the next couple of weeks and youre left playing a rook for the rest of the year?).  but you've clearly already made up your mind to do the trade so this thread is obsolete anyway.

edit: realise i basically said what everyone else has but there's something in that...
