9 trades + 162K. I have been living overseas this whole season and have made a couple of errors (Shaw in the teams on Thursday and the big one when I didnt read the rule changes and games counted from round 1 unlike previous years). Need a strong finish as I had a bad start to the season and are hoping that my fellow competitors have burnt trades before the finals.

1st trade
Shaw to suckling, Birchall, Fisher (or any recommendations)

2nd trade
Mzungu/Prestia to Cloke or recommendations

or
Ruckman change??

Best increase in points is sideways sandi to say mcevoy and shaw to suckling  or fisher

Firstly, Shaw to Suckling is a no brainer. You've got a great defence and Suckling is the best chance of the 3 you named to pull out 110+ scores which put you ahead of the pack.

Secondly, interesting ruck line! I think you need to make a call on whether you're going to start Vickey or Lobbe as a 2nd ruck, or bring in McEvoy or Petrie like above. Considering you've got Lobbe in your side, it's very much worthwhile looking at Drew Petrie who has pulled in some massively scores this season. The Matera/Richardson combination really isn't good in your forward line so you need to look at that also. If I was you, my trading plan would be the follow:

This week:

Shaw -> Suckling
Sandilands -> Petrie

Next week:

Vickery -> 80k ruckman (could do it this week & hold on Shaw upgrade 1 week - depends how you feel about the price fluctuations)
And either Matera or Richardson -> J. Tippett (RUCK/FOR from GC)

Bringing in J. Tippett allows you to swap Lobbe into the forward line as your 8th/9th forward and Lobbe also covers Petrie's round 21 bye. From there, upgrade Prestia to the best forward with the heap of cash you should have. Leaves you with 4 trades for finals, 1 of which will be needed to ditch Scotland and/or Gibbs for their round 23 bye.

+1 Shaw > Suckling. Ive heard rumblings that Sandi is gonna play this week. If not then it should be next week. I would wait till he returns then downgrade Vickery to an 80k hack, giving u cash to upgrade Matera/Prestia.

I really hope so... you'd rethink your strategy if he was named this week.

In the master plan there may be 5 trades in finals (Byes with Swallow, Boyd, Scotland, Gibbs, Enright) but that can change with major injuries or suspension. Shaw to Suckling  ;D

If Sandi is back this week (most prob not) i thinking of holding on him as Petrie scares me and a sideways trade might not be the best. I wish I could get some news on his injury. 18th July injury list has him 2-3 weeks. At best round 20 if not 21. Crap that has changed things.

Todd Goldstein $397, 101.6av, 134 be, 5 round av 102. Lowest score for the year 72. Does have a bye
Petrie $306K, 89 av, 5 round 84, lowest 24. Does have a bye and inconsistent but $80K in the bank

your team is looking very solid mate! i would personally get either birchall or suckling for shaw, hawthorn defenders rack the points up as they love to chip the ball around and keep possession!

if your upgrading mzungu/prestia i would go for fyfe if u dont already have him, hes a jet. id keep mzungu and trade prestia.

i see u still have sandilands aswell, i would trade him out for goldstein after the first week of finals after the kangas bye, i would stay away from mcevoy as koshowerzke is back in the saints side and mcevoy will spend less time in the ruck and on the ground!

Petrie over Goldstein for a) dual position and b) 90k cheaper! Also, you could use a forward downgrade so it'd justify you getting Joel Tippett for flexibility.

Mzungu/Prestia -> Fyfe a very good call, could nearly pull the trigger on Mzungu -> Fyfe this week as I can't see Mzungu scoring massively in his first Derby (could be wrong, though). Certainly wouldn't want to be playing Prestia this week v Collingwood.

Andreolli also is MPP B/C - suggested him to a mate so he could switch Delids from his mids (wtf?) to the backs.

If you need wins now to get into top8 - Shaw to Suck but if you're fine, i reckon Shaw to Fisher next wk or wk after is best value.

i would wait just a teeny bit closer to finals before doing that last fwd upgrade due to general fwd inconsistency ...

Ok my latest update. This morning I changed my team as I knew that I would not have Internet. Got suckling in for shaw. Got Internet now (in London for a few days) and see that he is out. How stupid am I. I should of waited for the teams. I am really pissed off at myself.
