what has happened to anthony last year i though he was going to be a star and now he is the sub player and now dropped. Was he ever any good and if he was what are they doing to him. Living in WA and not having foxtel i get to watch very few games so i havent really seen him play that much this year.

roo boys!

Anthony and Ziebell I put in the same category after they had played about 3 games. They were both going to be great players for the club, but then they each had more than their fair share of injuries, which obviously set them back a fair bit. Ziebell showed yesterday that he has almost reached that level that I knew he could, obviously it was an amazing match, now for him to build up some consistency and he can become a star player.

In regards to Anthony, I see it as only a matter of time until he is a star. Being the sub doesn't really mean you are the worst player in the 22, often it is used strategically so that someone with good leg speed can come on and destroy the tired opposition team. Anthony came on as the sub against Essendon late in the third quarter, and he basically was the difference IMO. He was used as sub because of his speed, and great ball use, and he came on and demonstrated both of those.

With the amount of midfielders we have, it's rather competitive to get a spot in there. Anthony will still be a star I reckon, next season will be huge from him. You heard it here first!

i agree i think he will be a great player i understand he is a great choice for a sub but i don't see why he is not being played at the moment. i think he has the talent but i don't like the way they are managing him as i dont think its the best way for him to develope. I agree it has more to do with the problem of too many mids. This is why i was suprsied when we took atley, he is a great player but we have enough. Next draft i hope we dont pick up another mid as obviousulsy we have too many.

RB i have confidence in Anthony and i will be putting him in my team fpr the 4th year in a row (even thoug he burnt me this year and last).

roo boys!

Aaron Black will more than likely be in my team too.

North Melbournes Finest

This offseason will likely be our most active in terms of trades, if Anthony isn't given oppurtunities he'll probably request a trade, he's a good talent but not being given game time.

Lindsay
Hamish
Anthony
Tarrant

Are a few guys I'm sure will be floated around during trade week. TBH I'd much rather use Grima/Tarrant then Delaney.

i would like hamish to stay and play forward, definately keep anthony, tarrant is a good defender to be honest i think we could lose hansen, lindsay and Edwards. Hamish takes edwards job maybee turn one of our mids into a forward.

roo boys!

Edwards' marking is great, and he has been one of our best targets this season. He has to stay IMO.

Tarrant has had his troubles with injuries and the like, not sure of his whole potential really :-\

HMac will have to fight for his spot, no longer an auto-selection...

This may not help the cause of keeping him.
