Hey Everybody, I am about to play the most important round of SuperCoach this year. For ultimate bragging right against a "friend" who thinks he's better than me at SuperCoach. So I am treating this like a Grand Final.

This is his team: http://supercoach.heraldsun.com.au/?p=other_teams&lid=1&tid=36913

And this is mine:

Deledio, Gibbs, Newman, Goddard, Shaw, Heppell, Hurn (Batchelor, L Thompson, Jacobs)
Pendlebury, Boyd, Judd, Priddis, Ablett, Swan (Hibberd, I Smith, Mzungu)
Cox, Jamar (Lobbe, Keeffe)
Pavlich, R O'Keefe, Goodes, Sylvia, Yarran, N Riewoldt, J Riewoldt (Rioli, Darling, Lynch)

What should I do for most points, but also with his team in mind?
Who to put Emergency?
Who to put Captain and CV? Boyd, Pendles, Goddard, Swan, Judd, Ablett, Priddis, Pavlich, Cox or ROK?

But most importantly, who to trade?

5 Trades Left, $5,800 in the bank.

PLEASE HELP! :)
If you do and I beat him, I will forever be grateful, and for every person that comments and helps, I will post in your threads and help you (by PM also if you want) this week and whenever you call upon me :)

Captain is a tough one, coin flip between Swan, Pendles & Goddard.  If you have balls, put the captaincy on GAJ (haha, think I am going to take a punt here because everyone will take it off)

Deledio, Gibbs, Newman, Goddard (VC), Shaw, Heppell, Hurn <Batchelor (E), L Thompson, Jacobs>
Pendlebury, Boyd, Judd, Priddis, Ablett (C), Swan <Hibberd, I Smith, Mzungu (E)>
Cox, Jamar (Lobbe, Keeffe)
Pavlich, R O'Keefe, Goodes, Sylvia, Yarran, N Riewoldt, J Riewoldt <Rioli, Darling (E), Lynch>

I reckon sit on your trades for now.  Your in a good position to finish the year strongly.  Could sideways trade Yarran later but I would consider that a luxury trade atm.

charliesheen

ahh didn't realise you wanted to specifically beat his team.

i will have a look at his team, maybe we can do soem trades lol!!

I think you have him easily in the forwards.  As long as you don't screw captaincy should be all good.

Deledio = Deledio
Gibbs = Gibbs
Newman = Enright
Goddard = Goddard
Shaw = Shaw
Heppel = Otten
Hurn < Fisher

Pendlebury = Pendlebury
Boyd > Thompson
Judd = Judd
Priddis = Priddis
Ablett = Ablett
Swan  = Swan

Cox = Cox
Jamar = Petrie

Pavlich = Pavlich
R O'Keefe = SJ
Goodes = Goodes
Sylvia > Darling
Yarran > Krakoar
N Riewoldt = N Riewoldt
J Riewoldt (cracked ribs) >= Mzungu

Luigi197

Ahh, so my forwards should beat his, and that would wrap it up.

Can i ask your theories behind Goddard as a VC?
And Mzungu over Hibberd as EMG?

charliesheen

Hibberd or Mzungu is a coin toss mate.  Can't complain either way.

If you want to play it safe, I assume most people will have Captaincy on Selwood/Pendlebury, then followed by Goddard/Boyd/Chapman/etc.

If you are a risk taker, go for Ablett, haha.

Like Boyd, Goddard has a very very good record on ES.  His form has been encouraging, and he tends to enjoy playing West Coast.  Saying that the West Coast this year, is a much different West Coast than last few years.

Their WC press will suit ES.

PICCOLLO

With those teams, on any given day, either of you could win.  Captaincy important.  If you feel he may go ablett, then you really need to do the same.  Swan and pendles will get 110 or less.  Boyd too unpredictable.  Priddis good for a 120.  Goddard wont go as well as he normally does as wce are a much better side this year. Judd good for 110 but may go big.  Everything points to ablett should he play.

BoredSaint

looking at both teams you should beat him easy :)

But BS this guy, for some reason, randomly pulls good as scores.
Me and luigi need to beat him, he has been talking himself up all season.

charliesheen

maybe his nailing captaincy

though i assume most would have had gaj last few weeks

I think you should win, especially if Sylvia has a big game against Port which is a fair chance and Jroo kicks a few goals against the Suns which is a possibility

he can easily cancel out sylvia by doing a yarran to sylvia direct swap at the same price.  yarran is looking good though, not sure its really worth it.

seems like sylvia is spending less time mids with the return of scully trengove and some others.

if you really really really want to beat this guy, i guess you could bring in sylvia to negate his sylvia lol.

sayings that its at TIO, where normally people suck because of the extreme conditions.

I would downgrade Darling to Talia and upgrade Heppell to Fisher that would give you a good edge over your opponent

tbh, dunno if that is really worth it, may yield another 30 points from heppel.  think teams are starting to pay a bit more attention to fisher now too.  ES will really suit the WC version of the press.

i think his got this in the bag, the best way to beat the opposition is to generally bring in guys to negate what they have.

i think his pretty far ahead anyway, captaincy will play a bit part imo.

Luigi197

Wow thanks guys :)

Probably no trades this week for me. I think there will be little improvement if a downgrade and upgrade is done. Also with only 5 trades left, they are pretty gold.
Hey CS, what were you saying about Sylvia, I have him and Yarran too :o

So it is all down to Captaincy really then.
Am really thinking Priddis as WCE are in form, and so is he. Judd v. Collingwood, maybe not. Last time against Carlton, Pendles got 94 and Swan got 108, at the MCG.
Seeing i dont know who is captain will be, Ablett maybe not the risk. Boyd is too unpredictable as you said Piccolo.
For me the order seems: Priddis, Ablett, Judd then Pendles.

Thanks again :)
