simple enough question. seems like they'll probably have top 4 in the bag. hodge/mitchell/franklin/rioli/etc a chance to be rested?

enzedder

Would be smart if they did...especially if they have nothing to play for.
That's the risk you take...playing GC = likelihood of great scores v rested players.
Who has a crystal ball?

PICCOLLO

Unlikely imo, unless under an injury cloud.  Not smart to rest players the week before finals

Bosh

Hard to tell from here. Not if they are fighting for the top 4 spot.

if players are carrying niggles they will

ajjewell

Imo Rioli might be a chance, I wouldn't reckon the other players will get rested though

yorgis

they would'nt really want to meet the pies in the first week of finals so they'll try to finish as high up as possible, besides,

they would have just had their 2nd bye. why rest ?  with all the injuries they have had this year and the number of changes

every week, not too many players can say they need a rest

They will probs rest Rioli & maybe Buddy.

I don't reckon they will rest players unless they actually need it. Will want to keep momentum going in to finals. And as pointed out have a late bye too.

teams generally rest players 4-5 weeks out from finals, hawks probably wont cause they havnt got top 4 sewn up.
unlikely any top team would rest premiums round 23 or 24

Maybe if they are under a cloud, or picked up a niggle after they rest players a month away from finals.

They may rest players if they  have slight injuries. But if they rest Buddy it could stuff him up for the coleman. But wouldnt you want your players having momentum for finals?

BGK

Its funny how people say that they won't rest players because you want momentum and things like that. Yet the top 4 play for a week off.

cortez

They won't rest Rioli, they'll want as much game time in him as what they can. Leading into finals. Plus you would want a good hit out when your playing geelong or Collingwood the week after. I reckon they'll go in full strength and go really hard. Get up by 10 goals by half time then relax and get ready for the next week
