With the recent return of montag i am going to start a thread of all the players i spot that are good value
seeing i have a good eye for this  ??? ;) i will help you all rwalise who is good value

some of my recent picks that have hit premium status include travis cloke and liam shiels and Jack Steven

My Unique pick ups of the week
this week it is a toss-up between Jarryd Blair of Collingwood and Ryan Gamble of St.Kilda

both are still very cheap and hit some form after some time in the reserves

Blair

243,800
be of 6
Average of 70.2

If you are willing to take a risk on this guy i see great potential in him if he can string together regular games

Gamble

219, 100
be of 31
average of 59.7

he has only played 7 games but last week against port adelaide he was close to best on ground. Kicked 4.1 and had 17 touches as a small running foward but also showed he had pace to play up the ground

If you dont have get on soon pick

Jack Steven

Price 331, 100
be of 64
average of 81.2

dont get fooled by his average because his last 5 games have an average above 90
has got a new role in midfield and is tearing up.

scores since round 10

102 90 104 77 BYE  103 99

if that isnt enough to convince you he has dpp with mids and has no more byes left
could be a great unique come finals

Let's revisit this thread in a months time... ;)

AlexIsOnFire

If you are thinking about bringing in either of these players at this stage of the year, you are sure to struggle.

Ryan Gamble.... cmon...

As for you picking Cloke as a great Dter... mate he's been around for years and has put together some big scores over a long time.

There was never any doubt he was going to become a great FWD.

Stevens will be an option next year, but with Lenny Hayes coming back next year it might reduce Stevens impact.

BGK

When you nominate every player in the league some are bound to turn gold. Very ordinary picks in Gamble and Blair at this stage of the season.

Fenno

At this stage of the season you want to be going for premiums and only premiums. Those people you have mentioned may be picks for next year but at this stage of the year its a premium or save your trades.

Zarts

wouldn't touch gamble with a 50 ft pole.

Montag

sorry guys

i kind of didnt explain it really well

gamble and blair are two that i see great potential in at a low price and could be unique for a 7th mid or foward

jack steven is the real pick of the week. i picked him up about 4 rounds ago and he is a top quality player. i would rather him over higgins, didak, sylvia and co. and he is still fairly cheap, has no byes and has dpp with mids

Pretty easy to pass judgment on players when the season is in full swing & you get to see how they go.
96 vs Port? Pass

Would be better if this was at the start of the season. Seems a bit 'bandwagon like.'

Cicjose

you mean WAS a good buy

JARRYD BLAIR:

2 tons......Surprise! Surprise! His biggest ton was this week & you have listed him.

RYAN GAMBLE:

Once again his highest score was this week & you have listed him.

I'll agree with you about Jacky Steven. Looks a talent but I wouldn't get him....But next year I may consider.

Also you said how Trav Cloke was a good buy? I'll hazard a guess it was round 11 when he scored his biggest score this year (121)

Montag

nah cloke was the week before that when he had bottomed out. he scored 121 the first week in my team

gamble i am saying because when i was watching the game he was in red hot form and i would have said best on ground and he showed speed and skills and kicked 4.1. im saying if he can string consistency he will be a good buy

and blair has been out of the team for a bit but i was just waiting for him to find some form and now he is on he should stay on.

Gamble was playing against a depleted and weak port defense in a 10 goal win.
Red hot form implies he has been playing like this for a number of weeks. For example "he's in a great patch of form or he's having a purple patch" a patch doesn't constitute one game. Sure he looked good in a massive win but to say he's been in red hot form is a massive overstatement.
