The First round of the FFPL2 is here! Good luck to everyone!  8)

ROUND 1

Mike Whitney's afro! (3.05) vs The Brat Pack (1.22) Pitch - Flat and Sunny.

Roost is coming off his big win in the FFKO, but he is running into a rising mountain in the Bratpack.
This match will certainly be interesting.
Flat pitch and Sunny conditions provide no massive advantage to anyone.
Both teams rely on their pace attacks, so there will be thunderbolts fired in both innings  ;D
I would have2 make BP the favourite with his new recruits from EOS, although Roost loves being the underdog.
Player to Watch: Hugh Ingall (Bratpack) - If he can score well, I win is all but assured.

Bundys Bashers (1.27) vs Gatha Scorpions (2.85) Pitch - Crumbling and Windy.

Cookie has made some big purchases at EOS, and will certainly be the favourite for this encounter.
Conditions are Perfect for the Spinners, with batters having to battle for runs.
Cookie's batting attack should survive the conditions, with Maca's prone to a collapse.
Player to watch: Brock Lesnar (Maca) - Conditions will suit him to a tee, needs 2 have a big game.

Hilly's Heroics (1.72) vs Dazburgs Greatness (2.14) Pitch - Uneven and Humid.

Great Matchup here. Hilly will have a slight advantage, but never rule out "The Giant Killer"
Its a day for the Fastys here, which shouldnt affect anyone overly.
Both teams will be expecting a win, and the winner will be off to a great start in the league.
Player to watch: Hamza Salah (Hilly) - Hillys gun fasty will have a big game on an uneven.

Valkorum (1.02) vs The Nailers (5.52) Pitch - Dry and Humid

Not the closest contest, but still will be a game worth watching.
Nails will be hoping he can provide a contest with his main man Asif Ud-Din.
However Valk is a tower of consistency who will be heavy favourite with a similar squad to last season.
Player to watch: Jack Newman (Valk) - Important player for him who will be invaluable with the bat.

Bombers XI (1.64) vs Hello (1.82) Pitch - Flat and Humid

Match of the Round for me. The rivalry continues  ;)
HP has a fantastic bowling attack that will have2 work hard on a batsmans pitch.
BB's Oldies will enjoy the pitch and will be hard to bowl out.
However BB's Three Pronged Spin attack will be getting no favours in these conditions.
A very close game is expected with both guys being experienced with orders.
BB gets the nod... just.
Player to watch: Krishna Srikkanth (BB) - Hello needs to get this guy out early.

And thats this weeks odds, hope they were ok  ;)

Haha, I am working on recruiting a fm... So shush :ninja.

AFEV

Generous odds for Nails up against Valk, you'd think he'd be out a bit further with Valk all the way in at 1.02 :o
I will keep my eye on Roost the KO Cup Champion, I reckon his fasties will be instrumental in the win - Early wickets could help keep BPs score down.

Haha, I have 2 :P. Should be a great match to try out my new team once again. Batters just need to stand up though and I should do fine :P.

Nice write up Maca. Should be a solid round to kick it off 8).

Except that he wont be playing ;)

lol Valk. Give me a name then to replace him.

BratPack

Same with Elijzen. He's talented. But Ryan and Ingall are the two openers of choice

Jack Newman as a batsman

or

David Foley as a bowler

DazBurg

Brilliant write up maca

might have to watch out for Hilly's fastie there
but on an uneven Llango is gonna love it being a medium and a gun at that

Yeh sorry Daz he deserved a mention  ;)
Unevens favour fast mediums and fasties though? and greens favour mediums?

8-6 Suited

Hugh Ingall... My old buddy who irritated the crap out of me. Good times.

He started that way with me  but two out of his last 3 innings have been 232 and 143*
