Can't believe I was so stupid not too see this.

Z.Smith>Lobbe, pocket $ 240,000. Then swap Petrie into ruck & Lobbe goes FWD. Play Petrie permanently as my 2nd ruck. I have J.Tippet as well as Bailey.

Then Prestia>ANY FWD filling Petrie's vacancy!

I'm looking at Cloke.

Or do I keep Prestia & trade Harper>ROK, any FWD under $ 369,900

What do you think of THAT!  ;D

That was similar to my plan this week. Except I was going to use the cash from Smith-->Lobbe to go Knights-->Cloke and Lower-->Shaw (next week).

Great minds think alike.

So do you think that Cloke is the best option?  ???

The F.A.R.K.

i got cloke about 5 weeks ago when he was under 300k and every weeks since then he has scored over 100
i put it down to the fark training he underwent because every week after that he has blitzed it

i cant complai picked up a guy for under 300k that is usually on 100 at 3 quarter time

with dawes out he should get more of the footy

Cloke is definitely a nice unique - av of 90+ yet only owned by about 6% of teams. His BE is handy but is still pretty expensive. I wish I'd got on board in Rnd 10 / 11 when he was around $290 - $300k.... If you've got the cash though I'd say go for it.

could cloke's scoring be affected with dawes out?
means he might get more attention etc
just a hypothetical to try and complicate your choice :p

Weighing up between him & Chappy. Cloke has no byes & his scoring throughout the year has been excellent. I'll be picking him up. But if Roo misses I'll have to re-think my plan.

How could Dawes impact Cloke's scoring THAT much.... :-\

Do you think I should play it safe and get Chapman? Cloke has been gunning it & I don't see how he can be stopped.

Flame

I'd go Chappy!!! Cloke's form could be up and down!!

Yeah I knew Lobbe would fit into your plans! Only if you're willing to play Petrie in rucks, and seeing as you've got the trades (and cash from getting Lobbe) you can get any of the firing forwards going around - definately worthwhile as there are great options presently.

Cloke v Chapman? Tough one. I know you're not too worried about league so it kinda makes Chapman a safe bet for you. But Cloke is in fine form and there doesn't seem to be a backman who he'll come up against who could contain him (unless Merrett comes back for Brisbane - only one I could think of). With Dawes out I only think he'll get more of the ball, similar to Ablett last weekend with Rischitelli out. So without looking at how Chapman's dual position could help you (doubt it's really relevant), you'd probably go with no-byes Cloke, but can't go too wrong either way.

Good luck.

Cloke will give me an advantage in both league & overall.

Reckon it will be cloke. If you look at his scores......I'd take a 80 from him & he will bust the ton more often than not.  :)

6 at the moment. I have a full side. This is where It gets tricky. Do I trade Z.Smith, use 1 trade. Use 2 trades & get a gun +100 scorer making my team stronger but trades are dwindling.. Or just keep Smith.

I've been through so many different options. If I want to trade Smith it has to be this week.  :-\

HTL

I'm going to be doing the same thing, not sure who I'll pick for my forward line though. Waiting for teams first  :)

Suppose it depends whether he will be sent down to play out of the square, or whether Taz or someone else gets that role. He's still the best contested mark in the comp at the moment, but might be affected by having a defender dropping back into his space.

Anyone taking bets on whether Chappy will play every remaining game though? Don't think there have been too many years where he hasn't been injured / rested leading into finals, but perhaps they will use the bye for that...

Smith could miss this week meaning you could sell him next week, but obviously you need to get Lobbe this week. You'd nailed it with your current plan, as long as Lobbe's playing for when Petrie has his bye, correct..?

Yeah they'll use the bye for that. Geelong have other players needing rest it seems, at this point. Chappy has already sat 1 game out with groin soreness as it is.
