That would take way to long, and overcomplicates things a bit.

I'd rather make it a First XI with players aged 24 and over, and a Second XI with 23 and under.

The way I see it is, an actual NAT squad is always 24 and over, rarely see guys younger.
This means thats our Best XI. Then our 23 and under's are the future NAT's sort of thing, thus being Second XI.

If everyone would prefer it to be 24 and under then voice your opinion.

I have a youngish squad. Not as young as a few others but they are still young. I thought 2nd XI would be best for players that are fringe players for the top squad. I have 2 that qualify for u23 and 3 for u24. Legit candidates that is. I have no problem with the u23/24 concept but then I don't think we can set-up the age brackets for batsman like we did last time

Some of the younger players could potentially make the top squad if they are high enough. But not very likely IMO

Don't make a starting team, make a touring squad instead. 18 players. 7 Batsmen, 2 keepers, 2 AR, 7 bowlers.
