So last week i traded Darling to Didak. i end up drawing my main league game because of this bomb of a trade! I thought as a 'premium' forward with no byes left (and DPP bonus), he was a good bye. turned out to be my worst trade result of the season.

What does a man do with A didak now? How bad is his injury? i want to hear from people who have had him from the start and people who have done what i have done (that is held too much faith in past performances and ignored the showere year he has truly had).

mate not having a go but what research did you do or what was your thinking on didak no byes and dpp are good but he hasnt lit the world on fire this year.

how many trades you got will decide what to do

sya87

i have 7 trades left. he was averaging 85 in his last 5 games. i thought that was good for a player at 280k and the potential to score 100+

Chopps

wow was he hell if you told me that i would of considered him for that price, whats his injury like ?? i heard ankle, if its not long gotta hold him

Bazinga

sya87 - his 85 average came from his last 3 games , his 5 game average is 71.. I was actually considering him strongly as he has no byes left, but only one 100+ score for the season turned me away. His consistency has been terrible this year.

I did the same and brought him in. IMO you need to stick with him now as he my main reasoning to bring him was to be a backup for my mids and fwds. The injury is estimated at only two weeks, so he will be back. He has good job security and can still pump out a good score when you need him. Don't trade! With only seven left there will be better moves to be made than trading him out.

If you trade him out now then you effectively bought him in for his one-off score of 47.

I got him in as an 8th forward. Thought he was in for a good second half to the season. His form looked to have turned the corner. I still think he will be a good buy. He has to turn his form around. I'm probably going to hold him a little longer.

Malthouse said on SEN on Sunday that it was cramp and they were being extra cautious. Not sure how much truth is in it. I would expect him to miss this week and come back in the following week.

That would be a one of score of 26 bud. Lol

Gonna be a great 8th foward for me and he will only get better as in comes closer to finals he will improve get on him :)

Fenno

Shocking trade mate you must of missed the huge post I made about how his 85 ave in his last 3 games wasn't a good reflection in a turn around in form considering he could only score 88 against mebourne with no Swanny and Thomas and he had to junk it up to reach that 88 and multiple other pies players crack 100+. If all he could score was 88 in that game don't expect much more than 75 in every other game he plays this year.

glam77

maybe worth looking at after 2-3 more games.. ;D

sya87

i know now that it wasnt the best trade! even though his score was sub affected, he was stinnking it up. im gunna have to hold onto him as i cannot justify a player making a 26 point contribution to my team.

thanks for the injury news guys. even if he does get up ill have headaches whether to play gu or callinan... FMDT.

LEV

ive got him. he's on my bench as 8th forward. great for dpp (can swap him with mzungu, callinan or smith in midfield) which is handy.  Def having a crappy year, but it's didak, 280k was too good to pass up!  :)

Andrew

Yes I'm feeling the sentiments of all those who thoughts his form had turned around. I got him for the Melbourne game expecting a 90 and just about got it but Fenno is right, he had to junk it up to get it and barely influenced the game. Now we've got an unfit, out-of-form twat in our sides guys... at least I sold Bewick for him but that being said Bewick has scored back-to-back 70s (ie. MORE THAN DIDAK grr...).

Maybe if you've got 7 trades or more look to move him on. Travis Cloke sure to score 100+ v Josh Gibson this week. I'm just glad I don't have to rely on playing him but it's not much of a saving grace.
