QuoteI would say majority of Australians are racists whether we like to admit it or not.

Bit of a generalization don't you think? Just because you hear some from verbal remarks doesn't mean everyone is a racist.

I'm absolutely horrified you would say "majority".
There are certainly a lot of racist people in this country and it's not on, but I think it's taking it a bit far to say "majority".

Its a vocal minority rather than the majority.

Ziplock

not even that, just a media focused minority.

although, the fact that in the (67?) referendum, 10% of australians essentially voted that the Aboriginals weren't human is pretty worrying...

I think you've got the year right, now do the math... It was 44 years ago. Alot of those people who voted Aboriginals weren't human won't be voting many more times in their lifetime on anything... and good riddance to them.

Well up to then they legally weren't considered people so I'm surprised only 10% voted that way.

Anyways, back to Sherman; I hope that he learns something through the training course he is doing and that he understand the pain that comments like his cause to individuals and to the wider community

Anyway, back on topic. Sherman is a dipsh!t plain and simple.

Yeah, someone might lose their job for that. I think we had made the assumption earlier anyway....

Yes and he has helped Dahlhaus keep a spot in the forward line which is good for those who picked him up. I think he'll easily reach $200k possibly $250k.

Racism should be left in the 1960's where it belongs

Chopps

good to see how they handled it afl and all, except the media goes and screws it by naming players

Bazinga

4 weeks isn't long enough .. but why does he still get to play in the VFL ??  Surely racial abuse should incur some form of lengthy suspension. The AFL needs to take a stand and rub these grubs out.
