He has been match fit for weeks. also sid never said 3 talls worked well...
He hasn't. Spent very long periods of time on the bench in Werribee's last VFL game (vs Bendigo), Daw was basically playing as the number one ruck.

That being said, there has been speculations that this could be the week to rush him back (I think it is too early) but if the Sandi/Clarke combo were going to play (Sandi pulled up pretty well) then McIntosh could possibly spend most of the time in the forward line or even start as the sub just to be there so Petrie/Pederson don't have to go up against Sandi when Goldy needs a rest.

He was hardly on the bench against us (2 weeks ago) & before that too so more likely he's had soreness than match fitness.
Hmm the commentators were saying that against you guys he was spending long periods of time on the bench and they thought it was just match fitness, I don't know whether he had a little niggle or not.

Werribee had the bye last weekend so he got a rest there.

Daw and Belly going head to head was exciting to say the least!

He did get some rests but mainly due to the fact there was no need for him once belly went off at HT but nothing long enough to suggest match fitness tbh.

Fair enough.

Mcintosh did get a rest because he was sore. I highly doubt he's been fully the last couple weeks.

Bye would have helped him though. (VFL and AFL bye)

lets hope Hmac is back this week, to show all the doubters

Word is John Butcher wants out of Port and back to Melbourne, could there be a deal involved around Butcher and Hamish on the cards? Port's ruck options are kind of low, and we could give some draft picks as well as Port are going to get shafted by GWS in that regard. Butcher could be our forward replacement for when Petrie goes, allthough I'm not sure if I want to watch his ugly kick for years to come haha.

Sure, Butcher kicked 6 goals on the weekend, but his kicking is still horrible and he's only young, may turn out to be a complete spud. Not sure if I want to trade HMac for him...

I think HMac will probably stay. What are your thoughts on him playing this week? I think he is back, over his Achilles (proven by a dominant BOG in the VFL) and could be a very useful option. Would expose the lack of height in St. Kilda's defence whn forward and can provide great backup in the ruck for Goldy to rest. Would also mean Petrie gets to play the whole game as a permanent full forward. But who gets dropped for him? It would have to be one of out talls, as we did play too top heavy against Saints last time. Petrie and Goldy are safe. Edwards and Pedersen have been playing really well lately and should stay in. That leaves Hansen...I've got to admire his hard work and good efforts in defence lately, but he is still letting a few goals slip. If he was dropped, Pedersen would spend basically the whole game in the backline, with Petrie, McIntosh (sometimes Goldy) and Edwars the tall targets up forward. Thoughts?
