North Melbournes Finest

Whoever said that Essendon has a better ruck combo then Kangaroos should be banned from Fan Footy and I'm not joking.

Based on the argument that Holz made to say NM was better (or at least in the middle) then here you show your immense bias.
If the difference is so large that suggesting Essendon has better ruck stocks is laughable then why oh why do we have - more total hitouts, higher average hitouts per game and more clearances per game?

So you are in fact the person who should be 'banned from Fan Footy' for feeding the good people on this site pure crap. Good day!

ok i think this is going abit to far essendon have great ruck stocks as do the eagles and north melbourne. Of course everyone is bias in one way or another.  Really not trying to nitpick but the roos actually average the same in hitouts and have more clearances, essendon have more because they have played 1 more game. Not trying to start an argument over this especially when its a topic on Hmac. All im saying is the roos already have 1 of the best ruck stocks with essentially goldy by himself so add Hmac to that mix and in my opinion you will have the most deadly ruck combo.

i don't think anyone can see this team is clearly better than another team/ruck in these circumstances. Im just trying to put up a case for HMAC to stay and create a deadly ruck combo. I dont really care if it makes us better than A or B i just hope by him staying it mkaes us better than we would be if we traded him.

Couldn't agree more Holz, well said.

Master Q

Well I don't go for NM or Essendon, or West Coast... I'd take Hille/Ryder and Cox/Nic Nat over Goldy/Hmac any day to be honest.

I haven't seen Goldy/Hmac win many games by them selves. On the other hand Hille/Ryder and Cox/Nic Nat have done it on numerous occasions...

roo boys!

That's the thing, Goldy and HMac have hardly played in the same team yet. Once they do, one of them can spend a lot of time in the forward line and change a game there themselves.

Ruckman get noticed changing a game when they kick goals, when their team is dominating clearances then the midfielders always get the credit, so tap ruckmen (like Goldy) don't really get the recognition of changing the game.

I disagree. I think it is their work around the ground. I'd say Cox has dominated both aerially and on the ground in all of the Weagles' close games this year. He just does it, it is inevitable.
I wouldn't say Goldy has done that but he isn't a premiership ruckman...yet. No other ruckman has, either.

roo boys!

Just saying that the reason that Hille/Ryder and Cox/NicNat are better combinations at the moment to Q because Goldy and HMac haven't even played in the same side since Goldy has developed into a better player.

OH SNAP!
I would pick WC's ruck combo every day over NM.

roo boys!

I would too, at the moment.

But what about Hille/Ryder like Q said? I think that is pushing it a bit...

you can't compare 2 ruckmen to 3 ruckmen ::) also the initial comparison was Belly/Ryder to Goldy/Hmac and if Hird took his head out of his ass as Sid said, they would be better

There are certain things that come with experience, as I am sure you would know. However I am of the belief that the only real benefit he has brought is with the older players, as having played with some of them knows how to manage them, and the younger players look up to him.

Doesn't mean I have to mindlessly agree with everything he does...
