It has been announced today that Dean Brogan, the Port ruckman will retire at the end of the season.

With only Lobbe and Trengove as ruckman, surely Port will try and chase HMac. Though I dunno what Port could give us...

Basically, Port have jack shower. I don't want that.  :-X

Though they would be getting some juicy draft picks.

I reckon we are almost set for young talent...I mean never too much but at the moment we just need one or two more experienced players like a Delidio or Higgins to help out.

And something tells me that Richmond and Doggies wont let either of them go.

Of course, there is one other team we have clearly forgotten here....

....Greater Western Sydney.  :-\

North Melbournes Finest

Hamish is my 2nd favourite player, man I hope they find a way to fit him in the team, but I don't think they'll be able to. Pedersen has been a rock up forward, Edwards and Petrie have also been great. I mean at best you could probably give him like 40% game time because Goldstein is in All Australian form.

If we were to trade him -

Richmond - No not Daniel Connors, I'd be embarrassed if we did this trade. I'd love to get Deledio but they wouldn't. Other than that they don't have a good crop of talent....

GWS - Might be able to offer us a high draft pick, I'd take nothing less than 10, and I don't think they'd give us that, just because teams always get low balled in trading for draft picks. Greater Western Sydney definitely would like to get a great ruckmen and slot him straight in.

Bulldogs - I wouldn't take Higgins, maybe if he could get on the ground more consistently, and they're not really bowing with young talent.

Port - Justin Westhoff? Mmm, bit inconsistent.

Adelaide - I'd love to get my hands on Porpoise, the only thing that concerns me is his injury history, but this would be a fair swap in terms of player value.

Yeah, I'd have to say getting Porpoise would be the best player we could get, and then other than that my 2nd option would be a top 10 draft pick. Anything else other than Deledio I'd probably be disappointed.

Adelaide have Ivan Maric, Brad Moran, James Sellar and Sam Jacobs in the rucks (Tippett can pitch in too, but rarely does anymore). They wont be needing a ruckman like HMac.

There is also rumours that one of Essendon's ruckman may be placed up for trade. Me thinks its David Hille. But who'd take a 30 year old ruckman?

All the ruckman you just named for Adelaide suck balls.

Probably a little harsh towards Ivan Maric, he was a star last year, but struggled with injuries this year. But yeah, the rest are very ordinary.

I have also heard that Bernie Vince may head to Essendon next year, maybe it could then lead to a three way trade.

1. North gives Adelaide HMac.
2. Adelaide gives Vince to Essendon
3. North gets ???? from Essendon.

Through in a few draft picks here and there and I reckon this could work out great for everyone.

Cramerry could be an option perhaps.

I'd be pissed if we traded Crameri TBO.
He is a great young prospect, only 22 and his strength is incredible. He has that centre of balance and strength through the hips that all the best players have.
As much as I'd like to pick up Vince I'd rather hold Crameri.
He has a contract which doesn't end until the end of 2013 which he only briefly signed, so he is off the table :)

But do we really need another crumber when we've already got Edwards and Thomas?

I'd love it if he could nab Hurley but I think he's too valuable for Essendon to let go.

Crameri is hardly a crumber... plays as a 2nd/3rd tall even though he isn't that tall :-X Hurley & Him are both off the table though. The one young forward you guys may have a chance getting off us his Carlisle... Massive Potential & hasn't signed yet :-X Hopefully he does soon... would take a lot for us to trade him though.

North doesn't need any more young potential talent. We need a developed forward player. I know he's not a forward player but is Zaha available?

AFEV

Essendon will re-locate before they let Hurley go :x
But as said he has signed as well.

Nope Zaha has signed as well.
I'd be fuming if we let him slip, he will be a fine player :P
