McIntosh trade talk

I think Hamish still has a huge amount of value. And I am sure the other clubs are well aware of that, besides, Rochmond a desperate for a GOOD ruckman, I think Hamish is one of the best that will be up for trade. One of the essendon ruckmen will more than likely go up, but I compare this situation a bit to the food on an aeroplane. If people are desperate for it, and there is no other place to go get food (eg not many good ruckmen up) then they can bump the price up ridiculously, and people will pay that. If Hamish is basically Richmonds last resort then they may well pay healthily.

@Holz not McKinley all over again :o

AFEV

They will pay but not one of their 'untouchables.'

Every club has players they will never trade, normally it will be a great young prospect or a seasoned veteran ie. Boomer, Fletcher then you have guys like Nic Nat, Watts.
Dlids is one of those players and I doubt Hawthorn want to let go of one of the best kicks in the comp given their game plan >:D

The return

McIntosh is still a great player and will have heaps of value, if he does get put up on trade table they will be expecting a fairly good offer! I dont understand why you wouldnt go for him. Great player imo stil

roo boys!

Yeah, McIntosh is top couple of rucks in the comp.

Yeah I probably agree Alex, but I am optimistic :P

scott once again saying he will stay. Not sure if he is attempting to bump up his price or if he is really staying.

Boomz

Even if he was going no way the coach is going to come out and say it...

roo boys!

That's true BOOMZ. Personally I reckon he will stay, he doesn't want to get traded and Brad Scott made it pretty clear that they want him at the club. Not too sure how it will go playing so many tall players, finally time for Hansen to be gone? But he seems to have been re-invented down back.

i agree with this but few come out and say he will not go unless he asks to go. Most would just say we are not looking to trade him.

North Melbournes Finest

Mcintosh for Colin Sylvia?

Sylvia is out of contract at the end of the year and has apparently fallen out of favour with Melbourne.

Potentially a 3 way deal could happen with GWS/North/Melb

Melbourne receive - 10th-15th pick
Melbourne trade - Colin Sylvia

Kangaroos receive - 30th-40th pick + Colin Sylvia
Kangaroos trade - Hamish Mcintosh

GWS receive - Hamish Mcintosh
GWS trade - 10th-15th pick + 30th-40th pick

I mean it's not perfectly ideal, but you also have to remember that Colin Sylvia is only 25 still and has 8 years experience in the AFL. He'd be the biggest bodied midfielder we have, even bigger then Ziebell. He's got an abundance of talent, lacks consistency for now. He can also pinch hit up forward and is a terrific marker.

Just another suggestion and something different then being offered a crap pick from Richmond.

unless richmond gave uo one of their big 4 (roo, lids, cotchin, martin) i dont want to see any trade donw with them. If Hmac had to be traded than i would like to see a deal like this.

i agree but thats the type of player i would be happy to accept if we got rid of him. I dont think we will do that so i think he should be kept. i dont wont any of this trade for pick 20-30 rubbish.

roo boys!

I still want Suckling or Deledio (Yes, I am aiming really high :P)

How about HMac and our 3rd round pick (whatever that is) for Deledio/Suckling? We need that classy backman, not another midfielder IMO.

If we are to get Hawthorn to really want a ruckmen. We want Hawks to lose the first final, Freo to win their first final. So they play each other, Sandi absolutely polaxes whatever dud comes up against him and they decide they need to trade for a ruckmen.

Which they do, Renouf is an absolute retard and so is everyone else they have.

Roughie wasn't doing to badly before his knee. I think they'd explore that option before giving away one of their best kicks and most promising players.
