Who to UPGRADE? - Looking to bring in SHAW or NEWMAN.

HEPPELL â€" Obvious choice with BE 118, get him out before he losses too much cash.
DUIGAN â€" Injured, has done the job but can sit on the bench and wait till next week (FISHER).
BUCKLEY â€" Injured, BE 58, some cash still to be made.
LOWER â€" BE 82, seems to have good JS and could be a handy bench player come finals.
PUOPOLO â€" BE 64, some cash to make and JS is a plus with the injury riddled hawks.

Def: Enright, Gibbs, Deledio, Puopolo, Lower, Nicholson, Heppell (Duigan, Jacobs, Buckley)
Mid: Boyd, Judd, Pendlebury, Priddis, Pavlich, Ablett (Mzungu, Goddard, Irons)
Ruck: Cox, Sandilands (Tippett, McCauley)
For: Goodes, Petrie, O’Keefe, Rioli, Chapman, Krakouer, Smith.I (Franklin, Riewoldt.N, Richardson)

I have $231,900 and 13 trades in the bank

Possibly next week â€" Downgrade KRAKOUER to CALLINAN and then UPGRADE one of the defenders above to FISHER.

I am primarily looking at league wins (sitting top in all 5).

If Duigan is in your plans for next week then definitely Heppell this week.

He is in my plans and I feel Heppell has no value left. I guess it comes down to bench cover coming into finals and Heppell and Duigan have to go before then.

Who would you upgrade to...SHAW or NEWMAN, I'm leaning towards SHAW due to Richmond having another bye.

Ringo

If only going for League Richmonds second bye is in a non league Round. You can not go wrong with either but I would lean slightly to Shaw.

Yeah its a tough decision. Collingwood the byes are done, Richmond one more to go, having it as a non league round is handy. Ive run the stats...

Points Scores this year:

SHAW:

120+ (1)
100+ (6)
90+   (1)
80+   (1)
70+   (0)
60+   (2)

NEWMAN:

120+ (3)
100+ (3)
90+   (2)
80+   (2)
70+   (0)
60+   (2)

Compare these with FISHER:

120+ (5)
100+ (4)
90+   (0)
80+   (1)
70+   (1)
60+   (1)

It seems NEWMAN is capable of busting out bigger scores but SHAW is more consistent in the 100's.

Go for Shaw. He gets more of the ball than Newman. Although Newman is effective with his disposal he only needs one ineffective game to get a below par score.

Plus Collingwood are more likely to score more SC points than Richmond in any given round.

I'm actually doing the exact same trades as you.

Heppell - H. Shaw this week

Duigan - S. Fisher next week

Thanks Ben that puts my mind at ease a little. I wanted Shaw in my initial squad but couldnt fit him in, now he is cheaper than his starting price.

The only concern I have is the talk that if he gets TAGGED his scores suffer.
