all of these backline players are named for their first games this weekend

Joel Wilkinson named for GC (replacing a resting McKenzie)

Niall McKeever named for Brisbane (replacing Drummond)

Rhys O'Keefe for Carlton (for Duigan)

do these players represent any value as downgrade targets?

partly due to an upgrade i want to do from Heppel or Duigan to Shaw next week

anyone know anything about long term prospects for these boys

Ziplock

something is flowered with this post. It keeps coming up as having had a new post in it... really bugging me.

I wouldn't really rate wilkinson or O'keefe's JS- sounds like Duigan + McKenzie are just being rested this week.

what's wrong with drummond? If he's just being rested as well then it sounds like none of these players have desirable JS

Alka

Yeah I'm in the same boat, need a rookie defender with good JS to bring in this week.
Do you know if Golby is also in the same boat with no JS?

Talisman

No, I reckon Golby's JS should be better than O'Keefe - Duigan will be back asap. Golby a decent running back in a shocking team who just have to play the kiddies - he's got some talent, so should play - esp. with adcock & drummond so injury-prone & being in & out of the team.

I think Wilkinson's in a different category though being a GC player - could easily play a few games from here on, but could just as easily play 1 or 2 or 3, then get dropped. He's very athletic, but only been playing AFL for 3-4 years, so his game sense is the query...

Personally, if you're looking to downgrade to a defender this week, I would suggest Mitch Golby.

Cicjose

this is for next week so i can get in shaw...

yorgis

golby's on the bubble

TheBeatles

I think Niall McKeever is a ruckman
