Is he going to pump out scores to be a good 6th mid ??

Macman5005

I was very tempted to get Scully in but with the GWS talks I steered away from him. He is just a young kid and I wasn't confident that it wouldn't affect his performance in some way. Plus if the rumours are true that he has signed and Melbourne fall out of the finals race...will they drop him?

Im putting faith in him he is a magnet hopefully he repays me

one of the golden rules of fantasy footy is no 2nd yr players. fyfe defied that rule this year, and scully is a good option, but surely if you want to take your team really seriously, you would want proven elite players filling the midfield.

You could throw Martin into that mix too.  He's having one hell of a year.

not exactly a bunch of elite midfielders there. good, some even great, but not elite.

Whilst their numbers aren't big, they are all still around the same level as Martin at the moment, meaning Martin's average this year is still impressive for a second year player.  Martin is only going to get better.  He could easily push his average to 100-105+ next season.

Scully is a magnet, sometimes u need to stay away from the pack !

Martin has the body, brain and temperament of a 150+ game player.  Unbelievable talent.
Him and scully will be the swan and ablett of the next generation of players.

I would also throw Suckling into the mix as a second year player out of the box! He is averaging 90+ and has improved his average by 38 points from last year. In a year with crap backman he would have be an awesome starting year pick!

Suckling is a product of good training.  sufficient time in the reserves has prepared him for the game.  Same goes for Menzel and Duncan in Geelong.  Good breeding.  A couple years in the 2's and they will come out with mature bodies and a desire to stick in the team.

thatguy

how does a midfield consisting of the likes of

m murphy, pendles, martin, scully/trengove, fyfe sound in coming years?

pretty bloody good to me!
