Hi all,

I have had a different approach to dream team this year, making money off a number of rookies then upgrade for cheap premiums. unfortunately I am sitting between 5th and 14th in 5 leagues and need to get some wins on the board.

My team is
Backs
Gibbs, Goddard, Shaw. H, Enright, Broughton, Lower, Hibberd, Stanley, Puopolo, Otten

Mids
Boyd, Swallow. A, Swan, Ablett, Kraks, Iles, Gaff, Nicholson, Irons,

Rucks
Cox, Sandi, Smith, Verkery

Forwards
Buddy, Sylvia, Riewoldt. N, Knights, Darling, Mzungu, Smith, Matera, Prestia, Richardson.

Money to burn here and I was thinking a forward and Mid upgrade. Any recommendations on who I should use to upgrade and who too?

thanks

You're definitely going to need a fwd upgrade with Riewoldt's bye + Franklin potentially suspended.
I'd be looking to go Darling or Matera to goodes/fyfe/chapman
Then for your mid upgrade, I'd say gaff/irons to Pendles.

Pendlebury has just had is second bye so is set for the rest of the year.  For forwards there's a few options.  Stevie J is in some good form (besides is 70 odd this weekend), and Chappy looked good again on the weekend but be mindful that both have byes in the finals so you gotta finish top four and win your first final.  There's also Fyfe who is a gun and would also be a better option league wise.  Goodes usually comes good during this time of the year as well.  In mids I'd keep Krakouer, so trade any of the others out.  I'd be looking to upgrade Darling in the forward line.

MIDFIELD: Pendles this week. I don't think there's any better options (Murphy might be one but his bye in finals swings it in favour of Pendles). I'd get rid of Irons, no point keeping someone who is out for the season.

Then you have your 6th mid to worry about... I'd go Thompson or Redden. Both guns and both perfect for league with byes in multi-bye rounds.

FORWARDS:
Get rid of Knights, he's bleeding cash (I know you're cashed up, but if you want to continue making straight swaps to premiums you still have to be smart about it). I'd get in Pavlich personally. Very consistant, at a nice price and if it's league you're going for has byes in multi-bye rounds (same with any Swans though).
Other options: ROK, Goodes, Chapman, Stevie J, Fyfe.

I'm assuming you'll be doing double upgrades for a few weeks in a row now?
Fremantle face Gold Coast the week after this one, so getting Fyfe/Pavlich before then is a good idea.

17 trades remaining? Daymnnnn!!!!

You'll get the league win with that.

FWD Knights to Stevie J
MID Irons to Pendles (he'll get you decent scores every week... and has no more bye's!)

Youve got a line up that many would be jealous of!  (considering cash and trades) what position are you overall?

not ranked that good, in the 80K. I am looking at Pendles and a fwd that doesn't have bye's (but with 17 trades I may be able to swap prem players). Fyfe or Goodes are in my thoughts, however Fyfe is only a second year player and maybe rested. I could trade Fyfe this week (Freo vs BL) then Goodes next week (Syd vs Coll this round).

Irons -> Pendlebury
Knights/Darling -> Sylvia

Move on Matera and/or the left over of Knights/Darling next week. Easy.

Unfortunately your forward line is very weak but theres no real talent asking to be picked. If you want a instant change the midfield is where its at.

I recommend DPP Krakouer forward and inject Mitchell and Pendlebury for Irons and Gaff.

Start with that then one up forward and one down somewhere for the next 3 weeks. I'd think about Chapman, O'Keefe and Johnson.

Everthing's ahead of you. Use the roller-coaster to pisk the best value trades in and out, and you will storm home in leagues and overall!
