I have 176,000 and 10 trades left (1 left this round), i traded sandi out for cox to avoid the donut. I need to somehow avoid Swallow's donut and i dont know how. I wanted to trade in I.Smith although i dont know about his JS or D.Nicholson to open up the defender/midfield option although he looks like he will only play a small amount of games. Or I could bench Swallow and trade Selwood to Ablett and miss I.Smith this week.
So yeh, i really have no idea so any advice is great.

My team is:

DEF: Goddard, Deledio, Gibbs, Heppell, Lower, Puopolo, Jacobs (SHAW, Howard, Cripps)

MID: Boyd, Watson, Swallow, Harris, Mzungu, Atley (PENDLEBURY, SWAN, SELWOOD)

RUC: Cox, Petrie (SMITH, Derickx)

FOR: Franklin, Chapman, O'Keefe, Goodes, Rioli, Pavlich, Darling (KRAKOUER, Harper, Lynch)

My main concern is missing an opportunity on a downgrade as i cannot think of any future downgrade options for next week or the week after.

Thanks Guys

Ringo

As a suggestion and you have 176K cash Swallow > Scotland opens up the Def/Mid link and on present form Scotland will average 100 points for you.

Yeh that is a good idea, although he has a finals bye (sorry i forgot to tell you i am going for league) and i would rather get a midfielder as they are likely to score more

Ringo

I had that concern but  would much rather his 100+ average for the next 11 weeks to assist with league wins though especially if switching with Jacobs to boost def.
Another option to avoid Swallows donut is Selwood to Ablett (cost $50k) or to save cash Selwood to Priddis.(makes $25k)
benching Swallow.

Yeh thats exactly what i'm thinking of doing although i am concerned that i will not get the opportunity to downgrade to another good rookie when Smith passes

Difficult decision you have Downgrade for cash v Do nut.
If last year is anything to go bye Downgrade targets invaraiably pop up as lesser teams commence playing young blood so if going the avoiding do nut option keep a look at new coming in esp Gold Coast players with the rotational policy who have only played 2/3 games. Another example is Golby for Brisbane playing 2nd game this week in defence whilst scores not O/s averaging 50+ he will probably have JS for the next 8 weeks while Merrett is out.
