Not me.
First 5 picks were KPP, then 1 runner.
IMHO the tall talent drops off faster than the small runners so it was important to pick them up early.

I probably would not have done the same thing, but it's his choice ;) Starting to run a bit low on the list of players he gave me to chose from, the first 3 were already taken, and I'm sure some of the next few will be. In the case that I have to choose someone in his absence should I just choose a current player?

I reckon pick a great of the game so that he at least has a chance of coming away with some players because we'll probably go through a few rounds.
But of course if he doesn't like them he can change them when he gets back (assuming of course they are free to be picked)
