With so many great full-forwards gone, it's about time I picked one.

In saying that, my fifth pick in the All-Time fantasy draft is....

...The Don Bradman of the WAFL.

George Doig is an absolute goalkicking machine; a legend of the game that played for the East Fremantle Football Club between 1933 and 1941 (he made a short-lived comeback in 1945 too)

In the space of only 8 years and 202 games, he set numerous goalkicking records that include:

  • Kicking 126 goals in his debut season (he was also the first player in the WAFL to kick 100 goals in a season)
  • Kicking a then Australian record 152 goals in a season (in his second season!  :o)
  • Kicking a then Australian record 19.3 in a single game (the following week he kicked 13.4)
  • Kicking 100 goals in a season 9 consecutive times (a WAFL record)
  • Setting a then record for the most goals per game of 5.46

Other achievements include:

  • A career goalkicking tally of 1,111 goals
  • Representing Western Australia 14 times (and kicked 62 goals)
  • Being a member of the AFL and WAFL Hall of Fame

This guy is a freak and a great addition to my team. Two other interesting facts about this guy, I thought I'd share:

  • Before he was recruited to East Fremantle, he kicked 26.21 in a single game for his suburban club. What makes it more incredible, the team's final score...26.21  :o
  • He kicked at least one goal in every match he ever played

Thanks. My team's good an awesome spine to it now, really happy. Bet you're happy too, I didn't take your player.  ;)

Got some other great picks lined up. I don't think they'll be taken either.

Being a bit a perth lad i'm taking Ross Glendinning as my CHF.

He can play CHF or CHB giving me that added mpp bonus ;)

Brownlow Medal winner 1983
All-Australian 1983
West Coast Leading Goal Kicker 1987, 1988
AFL Hall of Fame Inductee 2000.

Also he has a medal named after him for the best afield in the Western Derbies. Nice little addition into my team me thinks.
