The 15th man I'll pick is:
Tom MacKenzie

Tom Mackenzie had unbelievable pace, skill and decision making. His ball use under pressure a highlight of his game, all this made him the most popular player in WA. He was the first man in the history of the game to win 3 Magarey Medals, doing so while playing both in the middle and down back, he played for WA 20 times, was a Premiership player and a member of the AFL Hall of Fame.

A simply outstanding individual and team player, MacKenzie is a wonderful addition to the team.

Number 16 is:
Laurie Nash

One of the most exciting players of his day, Laurie Nash was highly regarded by some of the biggest names in football.
He features in 3 Teams Of the 20th Century. Yes. 3. Tasmania, Camberwell (VFA) & South Melbourne all named him in their Teams Of The Century. This outlines the sheer brilliance of this footballer. Relatively short for the positions he played (CHF/CHB) standing at just 175 cm he still managed to outmark every defender he played on, combine this with his pace, ball handling, long ang and accurate kicks (form both feet!) and he becomes a lethal weapon.
Gordon Coventry rated him so highly he went as far as to say he would have led all comers on the all time goalkicking list had he played closer to goal, adding that "No player is more versatile, for he can play anywhere. He is fast, has great control of the ball, kicks with either foot and has that little bit of 'devil' so essential in the makeup of a champion of today."
His 400 goals in 4 seasons and 18 goals ins a STATE game against SA certainly back up these comments.

Laurie was decades ahead of his time when it came to training, reportedly he trained until he collapsed in contrast to other players of his time who often didn't train at all.
Another of the games greats and notorious hard man Jack Dyer was quoted saying that Nash was  "Inch for inch, pound for pound, the greatest player in the history of Australian Rules", adding "He was the only man I knew who could bite off more than he could chew and chew it."
High praise indeed.

He was also a highly gifted cricketer, but was held back from the Australian squad due to selectors seeing him as overly confident and arrogant. Keith Miller then said it was the greatest waste of talent in Australian cricket history.

A truly gifted sportsman, and I must say I am STUNNED he made it back to me once again!

Yes :P Because a lot of people are passing up on them... the SANFL, WAFL etc have all been stronger than the VFL in the past so I rate them as highly as the champions from the VFL.

It's a shame we didn't extend it to the leagues in Tassie and ACT/NSW too...
