Hey all. My pick for the all-time draft is...

...Geof Motley.

This man was at the forefront of Port Adelaide's dominance of the SANFL in the late 50s and early 60s. In the 14 seasons he played for Port Adelaide (1953-1966), he was a part of 9 premierships (4 of which he captained).  :o He predominately played out of half-back, and was dominant in this position.

It is rare for a backman to win a Best and Fairest, let only a Mangarey Medal. Well, Motely managed this several times over his long and distinguished career; 4 Best and Fairest medals in 1958, 1959, 1963 and 1965 and a Mangarey Medal in 1954.

More recently, he has been inducted to both the SANFL and AFL Hall of Fame and was voted 'one of the greatest' SANFL players ever.

Another stunning pick for my team. Got a couple more unique picks lined up, but overall, I'm really happy with how things are shaping up.

this draft has me rolling down memory lane wanting to watch some old school footy 8)

when going thru the history there r so many great names and freakish occurrences 8)

Hulmie

I choose Brian Peake this bloke should be in the AFL Hall of Fame i can't understand why he isn't (Hmm Maybe because he's West Australian). He played just 13 games for Geelong then was promoted to team captain he won the Sandover Medal in 1977 All Australian 79, 80, 86 (captain 80, 86). One of the greats of the game.

FB - G.Archer ? ?
HB - ? P.Knights ?
C - P.Matera I.Stewart G.Wilson
HF - J.Hird ? Bri. Peake
FF - ? G.Ablett ?
Foll - ? N.Buckley C.Judd
I/C - ? ? ? ?

Robert Walls will fit in at HFF absolutly hate him but he was a great football player and he could hurt teams
