Ur dreaming MTTY :P Dees deserve it... they tanked to get him so why should they get to keep him?!

I heard the same Shaggy...
And we are the only ones who have tanked.

We will certainly be the only ones to have ours ripped away from us if it happens

Boomz

They got Kruezer and Murphy didnt they?

8-6 Suited

A friend of his commented on it that he had signed something, I cant remember what it was called, but the contract itself isn't it. More like an intent to sign/play with GWS and the figure just hasn't been decided as he wanted to see his worth at the end of this season had his game increased to another level.

I suspect he will be looking at about a 550-650k deal now. Don't know if melbourne can afford that, especially if the mail is correct about them wanting to go for Malthouse. Mick wont come cheap, at least 1-1.5m per season and for a struggling club, that is a hell of a lot.

But if he HAS to play for them couldn't they pay him 5¢?
It would have to be more complicated...

No because he would have to have had a price range in mind and that would be on the paper he signed, I imagine. Like an upwards figure of "this much" and if not paid that much, this is void.

His agent would have seen that there was no loop hole to which he could get shafted by wage. But it may have an exit loophole which would be good.

There are two things he could have signed. One is a memorandum of understanding, which is not binding, but lays out the intent of all involved parties, which could include details such as length of the contract and how much he is paid. This often includes clause limiting any public acknowledgement that it has been signed. The other is he could have actually signed a contract, which was allowed under a loophole for a period in the off season.

At GWS I would imagine he will be looking at 750K+ but probably 350-400K max at Melbourne.

Axel.

I heard GWS never offered Ward anything. HS making bs up again.

Boomz

It was out in the open before the Hun said a thing...

Axel.

Any idea where it started?

I just heard this from people close to GWS that they haven't offered Ward anything.

Don't be that guy that claims to be close to somebody at a footy club online.

You may very well know someone, but no one is going to believe you unless you prove it. And if what you are saying is true and you were told by someone with any authority, it was probably said to you in confidence and you can't prove it anyway.

Also, to be fair, every name the HS published early 2010 that were supposedly on the list to go to Gold Coast actually went.

Ziplock

well, nobody is really providing any links/ evidence that ward is going to gws, so why can't he give unsupported evidence :P

I was actually awaiting for our resident lawyer to come around, Mr Hawk :P Yeah not sure which it was but even so, I think he will do whatever he can to get out of it.
