How much work would you expect Houghton and Faulks have to do at local level to break into senior contention? considering they are the first off the injury list and are project players?

valkorum

Not sure to be honest.  I think Faulks would need to do a lot more than Houghts to get a game considering that McPharlin and Grover are playing well as the KPD.  Harves has said in the media that he would want Silvagni in the back 6 as well as those 2.

i would also think that Suban and Mcphee are walk up starters not helping the cause either for Faulks...

Definitely Suban, not McPhee cos he has played up forward all year

Cicjose

but with Johnson working well up forward last week it would be tempting to leave him up forward right?

Barlow 21

By finals we should have a very strong team back.
Silvagni, Hayden, Suban, Mundy, Sandilands, Barlow and Ballantyne and Anthony should all considerably strengthen our side. Faulks is a nice young KB but McPhee is shocking. Turns the ball over and hasn't do any good since coming to Freo. 2012 IS OUR YEAR! :)

McPhee has been really good this year.  He trimmed down some of his bulk and it has helped his game.  Silvagni and Hayden both played WAFL reserves on the weekend :)

I would always have Johnson up forward - I have never rated him as a backman.  Hopefully Silvagni and Hayden are ready to be picked in the next week or 2 which will help out the team structures some more.

Barlow 21

Agree with you on Johnson Valk. He played forward a bit last year and was terrific in those games.
Our forwardline by finals should look something like this. I believe Jack Anthony is in our Best 22.

CHF J.Anthony * Pavlich * Ballantyne
FF DeBoer * Mayne * Johnson

valkorum

Where's Kep in that forward line

Cicjose

Swap Deboer out for Kep

then Deboer and Crowley will tag in the middle...

valkorum

I would swap out Jack for Kep.  Considering our injury list there would have to be a deficiency in his game if he has only managed 1 game this year
