You heard me, I'm shooting for league and have pretty much finished my team with 8 trades remaining and 38k in the bank. I intend on getting Sylvia in when he bottoms out, but apart from that (I don't even see him as necessary TBH :P )

Ziplock's team in a best case scenario (without byes/ injuries)
Def: Gibbs, Deledio, Adcock, Goddard, Suckling, Heppell, Enright ( Puopolo, Toy, Jacobs)

Mid: Swan, Boyd, Thompson, Swallow, Dal Santo, Ablett ( Mzungu, Callinan, Hibberd)

Ruc: Cox, Sandilands (Smith, J. Tippett)

Fwd: Goodes, Franklin, N. Riewoldt, Petrie, Higgins, Rioli, Sylvia (J Riewoldt, Prestia, T Lynch)

As you can see, I have Jvoldt to cover when there's a bye in the fwds/ mids (would spp higgins/ Goodes into mids if mids) Only issue is hawthorn bye, but then I can just field mzungu, no sweat. Dpp linked pretty will, with goodes, Higgins, Prestia in Fwds (and Sylvia soon!) With mzungu, Callinan Hibberd in mids, and Jacobs, Heppell, Goddard, Deledio, Gibbs in Defence. I think it's solid. Good cover of ruck with Smith and Jippett switch, I'm pretty happy.

good side dude, the only spot where it probably isnt as solid is the backline ( let me stress that its just me being picky) not the starting backs,but the bench. puopolo and jacobs JS should be fine, the hawks bye u will have to play jacobs. you could after round 16(if sandi is back that is) sell smith and upgrade a back benchie, round 17 is the hawks bye.
i am gathering though that with your team you easily gunna get top 4 in all your leagues so it may just be better to sit on the trades..   ps  i wouldnt worry about sylvia  unless  knights isnt pumping out atleast high 70's week in week out that is.
   oh and also round 21 first final norths bye, are u just gunna play mzunga in mids?

And maybe if you can afford it go Dal Santo to Pendlebury after this last bye for the same reason.

actually, I'll DPP in Hibberd with Jacobs for Hawthorn bye.

I actually intend on trading in Sylvia and then just benching knights, that way come hawthorn bye I can field Jvoldt and KNights in place of Franklin + Rioli, and not lose too many ppg.

Yeah, I'm sitting 1st overall in my main league, but only third on the ladder... that being said, I'll be moving up to second this week.

Would be nice to get SJ in there i think. Dal Santo can faulter when you need him most. But other than that pretty good.

Yeah I'm not even going to try to make excuses for dal santo, he looked good at the point where I traded him in, but has been very pointedly trying to fail me since then :P

I made the sylvia trade last week and have edited my team as of such. I haven't done the dal santo---> pendles trade yet, as I only have $900 in the kitty, although I am considering downgrading heppell this week and upgrading dal santo to avoid his bye (as I am still in the eliminator)

Here's an idea for you.
If Sandilands returns this week (or when he returns) why not downgrade Smith--->Someone real cheap (even 80k rookie if you want). Or wait until Smith’s price peaks.
Then you can upgrade Dal Santo to Pendles easily and you also have a stack of cash which would be ideal for making finals trades.
This works as you have the Tippettâ€"Petrie link to cover Sandi’s next bye.

yeah I've thought of that as well, but my thinking is heppell will need to be traded anyway come rd 24, so no huge loss dropping him now.

But up until then he is great cover for all the byes.

And if you have the cash you can turn him into a Hawks defender for the final (v GC).
