so this week i'm looking at doing an upgrade but no downgrades because there aren't any options.

one of these i'll upgrade this week and next week i'll do a downgrade/upgrade using the player i didn't use this week.

DEF: Enright, Goddard, Gram, Heppell, Suckling, Gibbs, Lower (Jacobs, Toy, Stanley)

MID: Pendles, Selwood, Boyd, Ablett, Mzungu, Libba (Buckley, Prestia, D.Thomas)

RUC: Cox, Smith (Sandi, McCauley)

FWD: Franklin, Goodes, Higgins, Didak, J.Volt, Pav, Darling (matera, I.Smith, T.Lynch GC)

i also have $149,300 in the bank

the two players i'm looking at cashing in are:

Liberatore (mid)
$259,600
Ave: 75
B/E: 106

or

Danny Stanley (def)
$263,500
Ave: 70
B/E: 61

upgrade targets

MID:
Rischitelli: in excellent form and very cheap, i'll either get him in this week or next. also has a B/E of 106 so will stay around the same price.

DEF:
Carrazzo: only one other carlton player in my team (gibbs) and has a very healthy average. does have a bye in DT finals
Rawlings: Very cheap, don't have any NTH players in my team and first round of finals bye isn't too worrying.
Birchall: excellent form, excellent Ave. but i do already have franklin, suckling and I.Smith so i could struggle with the bye.

Libba: So libba is an excellent 7th mid but i have heaps of DPP cover for the mid anyway, and he will most likely go down in price this week. also have thomas out and next week will have pendles out aswell so rischa will be great. and is also excellent value and form.

Stanley: will probably go down in price this week aswell and hasn't been scoring very well lately. also i'm not overly happy with any of my upgrade targets.

What would an expert coach do in this situation?

Libba>Rischa

Apart from last weeks game. Stanley was fairly consistent for a 60+ a game.

His B/E is very achievable and may turn out to be a Duigan......

yeh, i'm starting to lean towards that. Buckley, lower and heppell all on the extended bench is a tad worrying, might even trade out lower instead next week and i'm thinking i'll get in deledio, which means i'll have J.Volt, Goodes and Deledio all out but i have cover.

i don't need any downgrades in the defense anyway. upgrade as much as i can from here on.

You can get him if you want. It's not like it will matter. I'll still win our league.  8)

Yeah, I suppose your right. I thought I'd aged 10 years while I had to listen to your speech on Tuesday.  :P
