the ear/finger/bread one was my favorite, probably bcos its the most recent, he and Sheedy r the kings of tangents ;D

i really do enjoy them, Phil Jackson Lou Pinaella Bob Knight Ossie Guillen just another few that can be 'kings of random'

tbh i think he has a lot to offer in any path he chooses be it coaching media etc

Cruiseon

I think this is a better picture - "I'll never match coachingthe biggest & best club in Australia to a flag, except if I go back to back".

That was picture was taken shortly after he took a massive jab and Eddie over the contract wasn't it Cruise?  ;)

As for cheating... No it isn't. There isn't a rule that says you can't do it. Is it within the spirit of the game? Questionable at best, most would probably prefer it isn't in the game though.

Sorry hawk, but have to disagree. There is a rule.

The rule is that if the ball goes through the big sticks after being kicked without touching the posts or someone else, than it is a goal. To say otherwise is cheating. Similar can be said for diving.

I'm not saying that everyone doesn't do it, or even that I'm against it, but to try and gain an advantage that isn't in the rules is cheating. The rest is just semantics

Yes that is a rule but not in any way relevant. There isn't a rule that says a player can't claim, through verbal or body language, that they kicked a goal when they didn't.

However there is a rule for diving that was brought in 2-3 years ago, however the AFL have clearly shown no interest in using it.

in practically every passage of play in every game players r trying to con the umpire ::)

for whatever reason The Pies r very defensive at the moment, Eddie and that fan ??? happens every minute of a game, the issue was the game was getting close as the Saints had hit the front and Eddie just cracked the showers and made a mountain out of a molehill :-X

Eddie and Jeff Kennett like to be in the limelight. It seems funny to me that there was a camera trained on him when he remonstrated with the abusive fan. They tend to make things happen around them, deliberately or not.
His deal with Malthouse is the first time I can remember a coach effectively being replaced by a three way agreement. Wouldn't you have loved to be a fly on the wall at THAT meeting. Still, the fact is, it appears to have worked.
